Looks like they made the right call on the no-goal. Contact from the Bruins player took the goalie out of the play and the goal was scored as a result. The Bruin wasn't forced into the goalie by the Giant player. I'd say it was incidental contact in the crease, so, assuming the WHL rule book is the same as the NHL rule book in this case, it should be a no-goal without a penalty.

The only complaint I would have about it is that goalie over-sold the hit but that doesn't change the fact that he was hit and unable to make the save as a result.

Anyways, I don't have the energy...let's leave it at that...I will take your opinions and say he wasn't pushed in...
Fair enough. From the video on the Chilliwack website it looks like he went in on his own, and if pushed it was such a light push I would hope that he would be able to take it better than that.

I will defer to those in the arena though. (Although might take the player's word with a huge grain of salt as he might have a vested interest in the play.)

The problem with the camera angle (at least the one they showed on the screen in the Coliseum), was that Santorelli was half out of the picture as he was going into the crease...

I thought he was pushed too, but I sit at the other end of the ice so I didn't have the best view.. What's done is done now I guess..

^^^ Just got home from it.. Santorelli played WAY better tonight, had a ton of great chances and scored a beauty to tie it 2-2.

Few other thoughts:

After the Giants tried it again and again in Game 1, they finally burned Chilliwack's D with that stretch pass to Repik. Tough break for Holden on the first one, Einhorn on the second. Friesen played well again, reminds me of the way Archibald played last year.

Even though Chilliwack's PP only has one set play it seems (Holden to Moller for the one-timer), the Giants gave him the shot way too often. Also, the Bruins forechecking was a lot better, and they had a lot more pressure, particularly in the third period. A co-worker of mine sits a few rows behind the Giants bench, he says Don Hay has been livid at his players pretty much non-stop throughout BOTH games.

This series could just as easily be 2-0 Bruins, which doesn't surprise me as I thought they'd split the first two games. It'll be interesting to see what happens out there, as the Giants have had their way at Prospera this year (except for the shootout in October).

Elsewhere: how 'bout them Ice! Arnaud Jacquemet scores the tying goal at 19:59 of the third, and then the overtime winner in the opening minute!

Man, that's just gotta kill for the Tigers. Horrible way to lose. Will be interesting to see how they rebound from that.

A major and a game misconduct? Lemme guess, nailed someone with his blocker?

How on earth did Quebec end up using three goalies? What an absolutely silly rule that would allow the team to dress another goalie during the game!

God I hate the Q's website. They have Rioux getting three minors, two majors and three game misconducts all at the same time in the 2nd in the box score.

He skated all the way across the ice during a stoppage, ripped off the Chicoutimi goalie's mask, and started whaling on him..

Then he took on one of the defencemen after saluting the crowd as he was led off the ice.

Moose Jaw evens up the series with the Hitmen with a 4-2 victory. Still a LONG way to go for the upset though..

Hitmen came out, were pretty much outworked for a large part of the first, but ended up 2-0 on a two man advantage goal, and a lucky bounce. I suspect they thought it would be easy, and found out in the second, that no, it wouldn't. Moose Jaw found another level from game one. Time for Calgary to match.

I will add, however, that I rather wish Seabrook had stayed in the NCAA. He is not his brother.
