Smashing a stick into two pieces is a little different. Nugent-Hopkins did not do that but Draisaitl should have probably got a game misconduct for constantly questioning that call to the ref.

The Flames are an objectively bad team and people are surprised they are losing on the road to Edmonton.

Frankly this is just a game to see how the two young D do (so far so good).

They’re both penalties. Slashing a stick out of someone’s hand is a penalty.

It was a stupid, selfish play by Weegar and doesn’t need to/shouldn’t be defended.

Weegar was clearly going to get a misconduct. You can’t do that to the refs. Zary even tried to calm him down in the box.

Weegar won’t be happy with himself on that sequence.

You’re allowed to question refs. You’re not allowed to make a scene like Weegar did.

Also we’re getting a front row seat to just how damn good Wolf is. He’s been awesome.

On top of Brz and Kuz, I think this is the most aggressive I’ve seen Bahl play. Even before the temperature was turned up, earlier in the game he skated into a scrum and grabbed Nurse. Awesome to see.
