For the sake of their organization, I hope they’re done trading budding young stars for spare parts.

For me, I personally don’t like Byram much due to his concussion history. Good player. Would be worth a flier if the price is low enough. If it’s say Zary plus a 3rd or equivalent, then that’s okay.

Flames have danced with them a lot over the past two years. Conroy should have a good read of what they are looking for, but I agree. If this falls through for the Flames it's time to avoid dealing with them. This even goes all the way back to the Eichel trade. So many rumored discussions with them and nothing ever culminates in a real trade.

I think it’s pretty safe to say this isn’t happening. Sometimes there’s fire, but sometimes there’s only smoke.

His dislike for Byram does seem a little personal. He can't be the only player that chirps like that.

The flames basically already have four of their top 5 set with weegs, parkeh, Bahl, BRZ.
Unclear why you'd want a guy who's potentially damaged goods, expensive, maybe not that good. It's risky and makes acquiring a different top-4 piece difficult. Flames are early in rebuild...should keep at least one top 4 spot open in case a better player becomes available via trade, draft, development, offer sheet, UFA signings etc.

That guy is a total boob. I have had interactions in the past on other things. He gains profit from kids hockey which is a key indicator to being a complete an utter loser. Hold tournaments and stuff. Every hockey parent knows him. Bowen probably told him he didn’t want his $50 evaluation of his potential when he was 14.
Calgary a good fit. His family owns that marina on the Canada side of koocanusa. His cousin took us out wakeboarding a year or so back and we talked about Bowen for hours. Calgary would be the closest city to there. I am sure he there now on the lake.
He puts out these generic chat gpt reviews on thousands of kids and then if you want to read more it’s a fee. A total
Sham. Amazing how many losers like this there are.

Even if he is that bad, it is not normal for a scout to hold a grudge against a player over something so minor.
When I played hockey, chirps were A LOT worse than that. Some of the things I heard were about 1000x worse than that.
It seems he has some personal vendetta against him. It is very bizarre.

Yeah, it's weird man.
I used to operate the clock next to the penalty boxes at girls games. They used to say nasty stuff. It was a riot to be honest. I can't remember them bringing family members into it, but it definitely got personal. I assume the guys are even worse.

Some people have thinner skin than others and some take somethings personally that other people would just blow off as a silly chirp.
I remember once I chirped a guy about how he probably sucks at his job and how id probably take his job with zero experience if I ever applied for it. He lost his ####, screamed at me, and never talked to me again. Like friendship ended in 60 seconds. No idea why he took it so personally.
Anyways, that bum eventually got fired for sucking at his job and I applied for his job and got it.
