No, they are absolutely pathetic. They match up well against the Avs and have great goaltending. That is it.
They are not a contender.

The stars are pedestrian team with zero fight. Gutless unless Benn can hide behind a red and sucker punch or jab people in the eye with his stick.

You two are so happy right now aren't you lol.
To be honest sometimes you just run into a better team at the same time as you. No different than Toronto, Carolina, Winnipeg, LA, Boston, etc over the last 5 years.
Doesn't mean Dallas sucks - just means the Oilers are better.
I'm not sure an Avs team that has lost to Seattle, and Dallas x2 in each of the last 3 playoffs would have been the answer either - they have no center depth beyond MacKinnon and haven't since Kadri left. Oilers would have eaten that bottom 6 alive IMO - much like Rantanen did.
This Stars team can beat the Oilers. They need to figure out their lines and play more aggressive.
Stars problem is they play too safe in the later rounds, and at some point you need to take some risk and can't play scared. Especially against the Oilers.
The Avs, Knights, and Panthers teams that have beat the Oilers did so because they didn't play scared against the Oilers. They would attack them and play them hard and get them on their heels.
Stars are playing passive and waiting for the Oilers to make a mistake and you can't do that.
