Feels like the Finn's are giving the U.S fits. Don't think I've seen the U.S this frustrated yet. Big test of their mettle.

Sounds like the fans might be generating the politics. Canada could probably field 2 or 3 teams. You’ll never get consensus on the lineup. No matter who you pick people are going to complain.

I’m cheering for canada. I could care less who’s on the team. I don’t know any of them.

Controversial opinion...the WJC is one of the few international competitions where I don't care about Canada winning. Everyone knows Canada is a hockey powerhouse and always will be. For Canadian players (and most US players) the WJC is just another development step on the way to the NHL, the true ultimate goal. I enjoy the hockey and getting to see the next crop of NHL prospects. How many Latvian players are going to make the NHL? For many of the players on most teams, this is the peak of their playing careers. I was stoked to see Latvia pull of the miracle, it will be a highlight of many players lives, let alone hockey careers. I also think it helps grow the game in other smaller markets which is only beneficial in the long term.

They're the best team so far. By a fair margin. A ton of credit needs to go to the Finn's for the results so far.

I meant in the tournament overall so far. Not just this game. Seems like the Finn's purpose built this roster to go head to head with the U.S.

I guess. Canada had one bad game and dominated these same Finns in another game. The US beat a tired Latvia team 5-1 outshooting them 41-26 and are in OT against the Finns.

If Canada is mediocre so are the Americans.
