I think he's just not very good. I've never been super impressed with him in the times I've been able to watch him play.

It sucks though, we have no C prospects as is but he just doesn't score, defend or skate well enough to elevate his game into an NHL career.

My thoughts also.
I still think we drafted him because of Honzek and maybe the scouts saw him play a few good games. Oh well, can’t hit on all picks.

Isn't Luke Misa a center? Maybe we draft his brother this year too...

Yeah another 2g and 1a so far today, and he's certainly not leaching off Martone or Rehkopf right now

Dec.18th:

Parekh gets a goal and was -2 in a 5-2 loss to Flint. He's 4th in scoring by D, with 27gp/11g/25a/36pts,+7, 45 PIM, while Saginaw has gone 3-7 in their last 10 games to slip to 11th in the standings.

With linemates Martone and Rehkopf out of the lineup, Luke Misa keeps on rollin', with 2g, 1a, and even (only 8/24 in faceoffs) in a 7-4 loss to Brantford. He is now 6th in scoring (9th in plus/minus), with 31gp/21g/27a/48pts,+20, 2 PIM, a pace that would put him at 105 points in 68 games. Unbelievable.

Hitmen beat the Raiders, 8-5 with Hurtig absent from the lineup.

It's very early, but holy crap... so far it's looking like the 2024 draft could be one of the best and most exciting this franchise has ever had.

Have we talked about where people expect Misa to play next year? I believe he will be AHL eligible but would his size/strength be a concern?

Could the Misa brothers decide to jump to the NCAA and play together for a season?

As a late birthday, he can play in the AHL next season, right? On a related note, will he be signed before the end of the month so the Flames can potentially take advantage of his contract sliding twice?

Really curious how Saginaw are so bad with a team that has Misa and Parekh on it.

They had to suck to get both and my guess the GM drafted poorly in the other rounds.

A huge chunk of their core from last year moved on as overagers, including C Owen Beck, C Matias Sapovaliv, D Rodwin Dionicio, RW Hunter Haight, RW Alex Christopoulos, LW Josh Bloom, and D Jorian Donovan.

Misa leads the Spirit in scoring this season by 21 points, and Parekh leads the D on the team in scoring by 21 points- he has little help this season.

Dec.19th:

I can't believe this kid! Another 1g, 1a, and -1 for Mews in a 4-3 SO loss to the Petes. He is now second in scoring by D in the OHL, with 31gp/9g/34a/43pts,+1, 32 PIM. 28 points in his last 16 games.

I believe that’s Mews, what a draft class so far, so many amazing D+1 years happening for the flames draft picks!
