Simple deal as we wanted to upgrade our tending. Skidder has good ratings this year and should hopefully steady the net for us. Still looking to add some veterans up front.

Jake Guentzel
Utah 2nd
To Dallas
Alexis Lafrenière
We wanted to add a legit top line player for the playoff run and Guentzel should fit in well with Suzuki and Caufield to balance our top 6.
We like Lafrenière. But he is coming off his ELC and we have Peterka who will also need a raise next season and Kent Johnson knocking on the door for a roster spot so someone had to go and I feel we can compete this season so may as well bolster our lineup when the opportunity arises.

I can't believe I'm only just seeing the Kulich condition trade. As much as I used to give Grant headaches with my crazy conditions I never came up with something like that.

Gibson has been available for over a season, and since I won't be re-signing him, then okay. Marjala just a chance to dump an AHL body.

TO OTT
Vasily Podkolzin
Tyler Tucker
Nick Bonino
Nick Cousins
Dominik Badinka (2nd rounder, 2024)
TO ANA
P Kane
Most of the Cap this Year
$5M next year
Wanted to get another vet in the fold, we've never had Patrick Kane before and he should hopefully be a good fit on our 2nd line which can move Dylan Cozens down to our 3rd line.
Ped gets Podkolzin who has finally found a consistent home with the Oilers. He's young and still has room to grow. Tucker is a dman with the Blues who has been consistently improving. Badinka was a 2nd rounder for the Canes' and is one of a few prospects who has two seasons of SHL under his belt at the age of 19.
Thanks Ped for the back and forth. Hoping this deal doesn't break the SIM.

Mason Marchment

Had a few GMs ask about Lehk. Originally didn't want a roster piece back. Marchment is a year older but should rate similar and we get 2 prospects as well.
Thanks for the trade Paulie and best of luck to GMJDs former team!!!
Only a few days left in the season and Philly still has a few pieces left to move.

Lehkonen is having a great year in Colorado so he should rate well.
He gives me the type of player I need can score, and defend. As I am trying to win my first world title.
THanks Jon

Big deal between Vancouver and Buffalo.
To VAN:
Nazem Kadri
Pavel Dorofeyev
Zachary L'Heureaux
Nathan Gaucher
2025 1st
2025 2nd
for
JT Miller
Victor Hedman
For my part, Buffalo has been looking for a 1st line C for years. They are hard to come by. I was close to landing good candidates during this past season but the deals always fell through in the end. Buffalo isn't going to offer Kadri a UFA contract in the offseason so he was expendable in this deal. Dorofeyev is rounding into a player but nobody seemed excited about him when I pitched deals. Blaster saw his value but I'm sure the futures helped his decision as well.
Hedman gives me the #1 Dman I've been lacking. He will be offered a UFA deal in the offseason. GMSportsJunky has not been enamored with the team's play for weeks and wanted to take a shot this year. So, Buffalo adds a top line C and a #1 Defenseman just before the playoffs. The D corps is locked in and will be together for years now. My biggest sigh of relief was that I didnt have to give up any young wings in this deal. Jarvis, Necas, Tkachuk and Hagel all remain with the team.
Paid a very high price but I've never been afraid to move youth to fill roster holes with the right veterans. This gives us two very strong forward lines and a solid defense corps top to bottom. As long as I didn't completely destroy my team's sim chemistry, I'll be looking forward to the post season. It's been a while.

That's a great move for Buffalo, even if the guys are UFA age and contract.

In a deal not nearly as exciting as Buffalo and Vancouver:
TO DUCKS
Frank Vatrano (73)
TO UTAH
C Guttman
P Moysevich (3rd rnder for Vegas last yr)
4th 26'
Vatrano is a piece I'm hoping will help the 3rd line with some depth scoring.
Don't love giving up prospects and picks for a short window, but the team is playing well and want to give them a chance in the playoffs.
Thanks Jeff

JT Miller broke my heart. Sending him to pretend-Buffalo was a small amount of revenge.

Harter Cart
Jonathan Toews
2025 2nd (TOR)
2.19m in cheese
To Philly
2025 1st (PIT)
This works out to Toews and Hart for us to move up 13 spots in the draft and grab another 1st.
Devils get an upgrade for their backup and a helluva playoff leader in Toews.
A quick and easy deal. Thanks Pat!
Flyers still have a few irons in the fire and aren't done just yet.

Sens complete two trades after being approached by others.
To Carolina: Dylan Strome, Justin Kipkie, cap next year
To Ottawa 1st 2025 (Carolina), Fraser Minten
To Los Angeles: Teuvo Teravainen, PO Joseph, Egor Afansayev
To Ottawa Tyler Bertuzzi, Daniil Gushchin, Connor Kurth, 4th 2025, 4th 2026
For the Strome trade, discussions went back and forth for a bit, and evolved a bit, but was reasonable all around.
For Teravainen, Bertuzzi is a downgrade, but the extra picks and prospects help mitigate that.
I expect to suck next year but that's okay. Thanks to both 3thirty and Harry Lime for good discussions and back and forth.

Sharks and Flyers hooked up for a deadline splash.
To Philly
2026 1st (SJ)
2025 2nd (SJ)
2026 2nd (SJ)
To San Jose
McCann
JVR
A wheelbarrow of cheese.
We didn't intend to move McCann as he is our highest scoring forward but we had a few GMs ask and decided to listen to offers.
This was tough because we are still IN a playoff spot right now but I honestly don't have much faith even if we were to squeeze in. We still have some great pieces and are excited for the retool this summer while adding to the future as well.
Thanks to San Jose for the chats!
I've said it before and I've said it again, the Flyers are not done just yet.
