No, they aren't. They are loving it.

And bite your tongue. If the Leafs won another cup, we'd just hear about that and 67. The world isn't ready for the fall out of the Leafs winning.

How is this on TV? There wasn't like some chess they could have shown instead?

Man, the allstar stuff has fallen off so hard its almost unbearable to watch.
Yes I understand its about the sponsor money now etc etc

But my god I miss the days of when they actually tested the skills of the best players and focused on the real stats. Al Iafrate blasting from the slot was joyous.

Now its so cringe, that whole draft process was brutal.

This league's marketing department is run by chimpanzees.
The NHL always fumbles the ball.

And that is so lame the last four picks aren't from the teams. Yes, let have no drama and fun with who gets picked last. Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

The only thing they do right relative to other leagues is the Stanley Cup penetration going to the players first, rather than the owners.

Women's hockey is way better than men's basketball.

I mean...if you put two guys on stage and asked me which one is on shrooms and its Michael Buble and Will Arnett my money would have been on Arnett every day of the week.

What. Was. That?

That draft was just awkward to watch on so many levels. And yet I watched the whole thing.

Agree it was super lame of the Canucks boys to take all their teammates except Lindholm. I don’t even think Buble knew where he was.

Dude...he straight admitted he didnt know where he was and that was the most entertaining part!

He thought he was in 'Blades of Glory.'

Which, somewhat ironically, has nothing to do with hockey...just like the All-Star Game.

His music still sucks though.

Highlights:

-Buble high on shrooms
-Sid the kid sending a kid in his stead, classy move while also showing the league that he's above lame events like this
-McRae speaking fondly of Calgary and giving the city multiple shout outs with no ASG representation from the team (for shame with that EL pick..)
-McDavid speaking fondly of Toronto and growing up in the area (Oiler insecurity intensifying)
-Pastrnak and Draisaitl bonding and Pasta telling Leon to try on the Bruins jersey (Oiler insecurity intensifying further)

Can we boo the ASG whenever it touches the puck in Calgary from now on?

It should have been in a stage setting so that you can actually hear and see what's happening. Having it in an arena is pretty silly. I doubt anyone there in person could actually get into it.
The drafts that have been more entertaining were done in a studio/stage setting.

The mic issues were embarrassing. I also think someone like Bissonette, Subban, or Cabbie would have been better hosts.
