I'm obv getting waay waaay waaaaay ahead of things... but what happens if we're #1 in the league at the deadline and still haven't signed Lindholm, Backlund, Hanifin, etc...?
Don't flag me for overreacting in the 2nd period of the first preseason game (against a team of nobodies, no less). I'm just saying... what happens if?

You trade them. If we're #1 in the league it means that Huberdeau, Andersson, Weegar, Mangiapane, and Kadri are all playing great.

I don’t think they go to the deadline with Lindholm and Hanifin unsigned. 20 games and see how the season is going and make a decision.
