Does anyone know why Michkov dropped so much? A few years ago he was projected to be like the next Ovechkin. Thought he’d go higher.

Also he bounced around to a ton of different teams, jumping up and down the levels of Russian hockey, and no one could scout him in person, they had to rely on film to scout him.

His KHL contract blocks him from coming over to North America for 3 more years.
Sanctions against Russia prevented NHL scouts from watching him in person or speaking to him.
