To be fair to the team you look around the league and every team seems to be littered with ex-Stamps. I don't think there has been a team close to as good as bringing talent into the league as the Stampeders have and if it were easier to keep their own players this team would be stacked.

Unfortunately the years of attrition of players finally caught up to the team, in reality it caught up to them last season. If there is anyone I trust to get things back on track in a hurry it is Huf and DD, but they need to make a massive upgrade at QB because even if he improves it is hard seeing Maier being a GC winning QB even at his best.

There have been so many big losses over the years that the team simply hasn't been able to re-stock fast enough. Letting Mitchell go wasn't one of them though. Maier may not be very good but you can't win paying $500 to Mitchell who has maybe the worst deep ball accuracy I have ever seen as Ti-Cats WR's were getting open deep all night and he couldn't make a single connection either over or under throwing them. Seems like he's got some arm strength back but his accuracy is as bad as ever. It's only one game but it does look like he may be finished.

Dane would have been a good option.

Never really noticed how weak Jake's arm is but he had Henry on our 2nd possession I believe if he put some air on it it could have been a run and catch instead it was a stop and jump and defender easily batted the pass.

Reminds me a bit of Tate.

Yeah I don't know why they didn't try harder to bring in Evans. He's not elite but he's played in two grey cups and Dave is good at insulating his QB's so I tend to feel he would be better in Calgary. He's only making $94k in BC which is a bargain when you consider Maier is making $400k and he has something Maier will never have which is arm strength. I guess we just have to hope that Dave can throw a few more wrinkles into the offense so teams can't just sit on all those short throws.

Rider coaching staff are a bunch of morons. Good job getting Harris killed for no reason. Wouldn't be surprised if he misses the next game with a lower back injury.

Wow, what a mess the Stampeders are, and they simply won't address declining attendance. Just read an article speaking of the 17500 fans that showed up for the home opener. That's awful, we're in a death knell in terms of support.

So I looked at ticketmaster and guess what happened by discontinuing the upper section sales? The cheapest ticket taxes in is now $47. Great job at killing the fan base, Flames. Sickening.

I don't think the attendance issues is due to ticket prices. It seems like the city has lost interest in the team. Calgarians have become apathetic to McMahon stadium in general and the team hasn't won a playoff game since 2018. The team is still competitive but they have kind of transitioned into mediocre territory where they are just good enough to battle for the last playoff spot in the West and Stamps fans have been spoiled by great teams and QB's for over a decade until recently and it's hard to get excited about Jake Maier and little chances of winning a Grey Cup or even a playoff game.

Ticket prices are part of it, but the whole experience of the dump that is MacMahon really sours me on going. That and it's out in the northwest boonies with nothing around it and takes me forever to get there. A new stadium downtown would be awesome, but I don't think that'll ever happen now.

I'm also getting sick of Dickinson's play calling. Time for a new voice at the helm.
