Yes, he barely got 5v5 time because of injuries and all the penalties. He looked good on the pp and automatically makes pp2 way more dangerous. I want him to see sustained 5v5 time with Backlund/Kadri/Lindholm, I like Zohorna but he is a potential 4th liner.

Have to give Markstrom credit and great performance from last night's game. Hope Tanev recovers from that puck to his ear - ouch! So, where is this Phillips savior dude, he's like invisible, like most gods!

It's been two games man, riddled with injuries and penalty trouble, eating into Philly's ice time.
Saying Phillips has been invisible is absurd, he's doing enough on both ends of the ice with the time he's been given.

Disagree. Even if you’re not a fan of his play it’s still better seeing a kid getting a chance to find his game and become an NHL regular. We know what Lucic brings and this is far more entertaining.

As much as I don't think Phillips will be a regular NHLers, he has not been a detriment to my entertainment whereas people complaining ad nauseum about how useless Lucic is has been very irritating to me.

In Phillips favour is his microscopic xGA60 through two games (only 12 minutes of sample size).
It will come up, and it's a very small amount of time, but have to think it's something that Sutter is keying on ... either statistically or visually.
Bad things haven't happened with him on the ice.
0.96 xga60
Now having said that good things haven't happened either as his xGF60 is also dead last ... at least he's up on the splits!

I really hope Huberdeau gets traded and frankly he must be regretting signing here. He deserves to be on a team that does not suppress his talent and limit his playing (tonight yet another 15min TOI). If he does something good, the fans reaction is "WeLL fInAlLy tHe 10m gUy GetS SoMetHinG DoNe", and when he fails, you know how that goes
Edit. Whoops, wrong thread

I don't know if he regrets signing here but I can imagine he's very disappointed with how things are going thus far.

I sure hope the players dont read social media (I think they are told not to do that). The team looks like they are actually trying to win but can't finish. Huberdeau is getting a ####ton of #### even though he is one player who is constantly trying to up his game but looks like he is squeezing the stick too tight. And how do we as fans support him? Calling him James Neal 2.0. Yup, no wonder players dont want to stay here.
I do understand fans frustration since I am frustrated ass well (paid a few thousand for my trip to come to Calgary this upcoming March), but I think some fans are just being total ####heads. You can be critical but you dont need to be an ###hole.

He's an easy player to like. He comes across as honest and you can see he cares. Which is why I go back to Sutter's "coaching through the media" of him earlier this year (IMO) and it bothers me a great deal. And I imagine it bothers him a great deal too. Again, he's likely very disappointed with how things are going.

Yeah, dude was struggling to find the rhythm with the team, then his coach acts out in front of media, and now the fanbase is starting to turn on him. Why are people expecting him to be productive and happy with this team rn? I feel bad for him because he is definitely not the player that James Neal was. I hope he turns things around, just so the loudest critics calling him the worst contract ever would shut up. I still think we do not deserve him
