The league is very small and insular but Sportsnet’s navel gazing over this last contract has made it much worse IMO. They only care about specific teams and specific players and somehow it has bled from the spectacle around the game to the game itself.

why can't we have an independent broadcast where we deliver the lashing that that kind of period of officiating deserves
being attached to these morons sucks

Maybe they were just practicing their diving and it looked like they were lifting the cup with both arms in the air? lol
That sure looks like an imaginary stanley cup to me!

You could be absolutely correct.
Still sad that a 'story' like that takes priority over tonight's game. It's just weird. It's gossip, who cares, let's talk about actual hockey news.

Athletes love to tell stories and over the years the stories get exaggerated
Podcasts seem to bring out this stuff
There is probably some very tiny kernel of something the Canucks were rumoured to have done.

I believe both too, though I think it was a select few Canucks like Kesler.
The fact that Ron and the panel treated it like a homicide was over the top, and zero analysis about the Flames game, the one time they play at 5 MTN all season on Saturday night.
Though it's clear this is a Leafs regional broadcast.

He's actually pretty good. Surprisingly good. And I loathed him as a player.

Kadri really is allergic to passing. I'm surprised he had any assists.
