Somehow you missed my point, they didn't have to do this jersey. There are also no hard and fast rules to Reverse Retro either, the Flames literally just re-released Blasty last time, with a few changes. Nothing was "reversed". Fans need to stop using that as an excuse for poor design.

Don't care about your poor taste but the idea that Reverse Retro has stringent rules teams are forced to stick with is just not true. Flames didn't reverse anything last time, the removed some colour. The Oilers didn't reverse anything this year, they added some colour. Endless examples. The golly gee shucks reasoning is nonsense. It excuses poor design.

I'm a fan of black jerseys and also a fan of having fun with a dumb jersey they wear a couple times a year. Some people seem to get really upset about this but who cares if the teams primary jerseys are nice and they wear them the majority of the time?
