No kidding. Those shifty Candians cant be trusted. Them or their Army.
And further, no self-respecting Muslim would attend such a slap-dash and shoddy Mosque. They have standards!

try changing the name of the thread.
That isn't a Canadian facility.

Well, that's not exactly true, is it? Having seen the video and the original post, here's what we know was a lie:

Does seem kind of an ignorant thing to do by the Canadian Army.
Thoughts?

The base commander apparently did not mention terrorism, and specifically said it was the British Army.

The post was on a public Facebook group.

You knew your headline was incorrect and that terrorism wasn't mentioned.

The video clearly shows a whole training village.

This isn't mentioned in the post, but I suppose it's possible.

You, again, knew it was a village.
So, I dunno, I wouldn't go trying to cast UCB as the bad guy here. You were, in fact, lying and bull####ting. Attempting to spin this into someone else being in the wrong for not donating $250 to charity is ridiculous. How about you just apologize for lying and donate $250 to charity to wipe the slate clean?

I was called a liar and bull####ter and was accused of making up the story and there was no video. I made an offer to anyone that called me a liar that if I was lying and there was no video they'd get 5k. If I wasn't they'd have to donate $250 to charity.
Someone took the offer and has now disappeared and a charity has been cheated out of $250.
|
Did you actually deliver the video though? Or did Fuzz post it publicly? If you didn't deliver the video then no, the charity is not out because you failed to deliver said video.

Look at the date that video was posted to that group. I don't even follow that group and didn't know it was posted there.
The guy who took the video is an old friend and a mechanic and he was changing my brakes and told me the story.
He posted it to his facebook and I watched it so no didn't know it was on that group.
He later posted it to another group and I saw it and that's then screenshots I sent fuzz.
I did not know it was a village. All I saw was the mosque and buildings. I thought the other buildings were just army buildings where they slept or something. I had never heard of training villages until this thread. I would bet most haven't.
And someone is in the wrong for saying they'd donate $250 and haven't yet. If I'm wrong as well that is irrelevant.

If that was the assumption, could it possibly have been considered that the Mosque was a working mosque that soldiers could attend?

Yeah, weirdly it wouldn't show up if I clicked your link after I saw it the first time, but if I went to 'Announcements' then it showed up as the first item in the feed again. It's just a result of Facebook's stupid need to decide how content is presented.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go remove this stupid page from my view history AGAIN lest Facebook start thinking it's one of my interests and offering up other Islamic or otherwise religious content.

Even if we say this is all well and good, the person who took the video makes clear that, after speaking with the "army" commander, that it was the British Army.
So, there's enough to find your version of events pretty unbelievable.

Ah, see, your mistake is having Facebook. I can usually access the content with enough blockers in place.
