Flames still the better team through 2 periods. Coilers get a couple on Flames mistakes, but overall the Flames probably still had the better overall play.

He has been really good at skating really fast down the wing and floating a wrist shot towards the net.

I thought that Zadorov was a much better player than what he has showed so far in preseason. I really hope his passing improves, and he starts to win a couple more puck battles. His stride also looks lazy. I know he can be fast, but his quickness has been lacking.

What's more, it's almost as though he still thinks the game slow. For example, he gets a pass, he has to look up and see his options, he is hesitant about pitching. I was hoping a lot of the plays would be more automatic for him by now. Hopefully it's just a matter of time until he adjusts to the system and everyone.

You are right, my mistake. He has been great at that. And when the announcer makes it seem like he is having multiple orgasms every time that happens, if you weren't watching the game you might actually think those are dangerous chances.

He's being played up in the top 4 tonight right?

He's a fine #5 for what he brings if he can sharpen up on his passes. But yeah, I'd have Kylington with Tanev in pen if it were up to me based on performances to this point.

Flames with a few big breakdowns but overall I'm happy with their game. Add Coleman and Pitlick (or not even Pitlick, I like Duehr a lot too) to this forward group and it's solid throughout.

Andersson is looking a bit better today and Tanev is so so good. Zadorov shouldn't play in the top 4 imo. I hope they give Kylington another look with Tanev against full NHL lineups.

It'll be interesting to see if the Flames can check well in the third. The Oilers are really dangerous with that stretch pass so I am glad we are done with the long change.

Fun game. Need some more hits.
