No, that’s not “intent to injure”. That’s intent to foul and a injury as an unintended consequence. Intent to injure is when you go out and try to cause an injury, like headhunting or foot stomping.

I just think a Lightning-Knights final will be a clash of the titans Stanley Cup. Two teams at the beginning of the season you would have thought to be serious Stanley Cup contenders. That is the way it should be IMO.

To take nothing away from the Lightning having numerous very good players, it cheapens the entire playoffs when one team is so blatantly ahead by abusing the league's back-asswards salary cap rules. I'd be stunned if teams like this are allowed for much longer.

Again, it's hard to beat a team that hasn't wasted very much of the their salary cap and is allowed to roster a team in the playoffs that is $16 million OVER the salary cap.
Here I thought the Bolts were in for a painful off season having to unload some of their talent for pennies on the dollar, instead they just utilized the LTIR and were able to keep everyone around. How convenient.
