I would want the cheaters to lose but that might be the best series in a long long time.

NHL was smart to be the first team to the market. From what I hear in Raiders forums the Knights are more popular in the city and state.

Makes sense - most locals would already have favorite NFL teams, but are new fans of the NHL.

It’s the most likely outcome. Assuming they get by Vegas, Colorado will beat whoever comes out of the North. Assuming they get by the Canes, TB is better than either Boston or the Isles, though it’s closer.

That and the NFL plays during the most brutal months of the summer typically in Vegas.

Who wants to sit outside and roast for a game?

For the Knights you can get lit, at night, and not have to worry about the heat.

The Raiders’ stadium is enclosed, though the roof is clear so we’ll see how that works for heat.

It was 41 degrees at game time for the Knights last game.

The best press the NHL has gotten outside of hockey circles in recent years came because of Vegas' entry and success in the league. If you want the game to grow, you should be cheering for any expansion team to have a good start.

Well when:

- you have the 2nd best team in the league for a decade, but the best team is your biggest rivals and in your division and has a generational talent in Gretzky limiting your Cup wins to one

- you get screwed by ineffective video replay in ‘04 and lose out on the Stanley Cup

- you are the only team, outside of said expansion team, to never pick in the top 3

- you watch those rivals Edmonton pick first overall 4 times and 3rd overall in a 6 year span picking up another generational talent

You feel kinda frustrated seeing a team jump right into your division, make it to the finals in year one and win a playoff round every year since and attracting big name FAs building the powerhouse they are now.

It feels like we are a cursed franchise so it’s natural to hate a team that jumps right in and has immediate regular season, playoff and free agent signing success.

The Raiders haven't even had a game with fans and their tickets are the hottest tickets in the NFL

Raiders will be the biggest game in town...especially if they have success like the Knights
