Is Connolly an advanced stats darling?

I think he's freakin' awful.

I think it's more likely that he is making saves that we aren't used to seeing lately. He's definitely been good, but the Flames deserve this one IMO.

He's a good middle sixer that often gets put out in situations he probably shouldn't be. But he's on a good contract at least, 40 points out of a 3.5mil guy is solid

Talbot is playing good. We should roll with him for a few.

Can’t believe the panthers traded trocheck. Outside of their top line, they have generated much.

LOL!

They moved their development coach behind the bench after firing Peters.

GranteedEV just makes it up that they don’t bother with development? Like how would you know?

If not for Talbot’s stellar play in the second period in particular we are losing this game.

Strangely Gustafsson is successful at getting points but I don't see how he is better than Kylington otherwise. His breakouts are average and he makes a few panic plays in his own zone.

We've been solid offensively for a month now. It's just cleaning up the defensive details, and moving the puck out of the zone cleanly.

First 10 minutes of the game as well, huge on the first penalty kill IMO.

Could've been down by a couple early and chasing the rest of the game.

I think they've been the better team as well.

I just think if it was Rittich Vs. Bobrovsky this is a nail biter. If it's Talbot vs. Bob it's probably a nailbiter as well.

Talbot is making the kind of saves that stifle momentum. Nothing is leaking out, no second chances, everything calm and uneventful.

Gaudreau, once into the zone, is good off the RH side.

Experienced. Kylington is not as battle hardened.

A lot of things could've happened. Flames are getting NHL goaltending today, the biggest difference.

Panthers PBP sure has a lot of glowing things to say about the Flames' game. Such as "they've played zone defense to perfection, keeping the Panthers to the outside" and "winning most of the 50/50 battles".

Doesn't sound like words to describe a team whose goalie has stolen the match.

Sure you're not just looking at the shots?

Exactly.

They have to start riding Talbot at this point, imo.
