A look at the postseason accomplishments of all the head coaches in the division since the 2005 rules as head coaches in North America:
Claude Julien
2011 NHL Playoffs (Won Stanley Cup)
2013 NHL playoffs (Lost SCF)
2014 NHL Playoffs (Lost 2nd Round)
2020 NHL Playoffs (Lost 1st Round, but won a qualifier round against a 5th place team)
I’m sure bringing in a 5th head coach for this core group of players will solve all of the issues.
So you rather waste this season? Cause bringing in a vet coach might bring some damn life into this group. And yes the core can be gutted in the summer I’m totally fine with that.

If BT isn't going to change the players, you may as well change the coach to see if that theory proves true. Nothing else to lose at this point because whatever hockey we're seeing right now, we've seen it since Ward took over in 2019.
Look at that season though...it’ only because Julien was great.
Julien: 33-6-3-3 as head coach of the team that season
Ward: 16-13-5-1
And there lies the problem. Ward isn’t a good head coach, he has no ideas on how to tailor a system to his roster.
He’s trying to play the big, heavy hockey that Julien and him had success with in Boston. But that roster was built to play that way, this team is not at all.
Sure it’s working out great for Lucic because he’s comfortable in that system, but the rest of our forwards are lost

I'm so sick of hearing that this core kills coaches.
Hartley was fired out of nowhere, it was a product of Treliving thinking we were further ahead in the rebuild than we really were. The players did not do him in. There were rumors that some of the players didn't like him but you will find that on every sports team so not really news. It was well known that Hartley was only there to start the rebuild and was not in the plan to be there long term.
Gulutzan was an absolute mistake of a hire. Treliving has to wear that one. Heck, the 1988-89 flames may have missed the playoffs with him at the helm. The temperature of the board was cold toward this hire and it proved to be accurate.
Peters got them the 2nd best record in the NHL. He was hired after being the only one considered and did not have any real prior success in the NHL. But he was the only coach that had head coaching experience at the NHL level. Things were not good in the second year of Peters and with the incident, the hand was forced. The board was not thrilled about this hire, but gave him a chance. With Carolina letting him walk, lots of people questioned this hire and Carolina turned out better after he was gone.
Ward looks just as lost as Playfair did in 2006-2007. My opinion is that Ward's record bas been propped up by the talent of this team rather than the team killing his coaching.
You could argue that the players maybe helped Peters out of town (they were not the root cause) but the rest of the coaching changes have been errors in judgement by Treliving.
