Vs Edmonton? Sure.
Vs Vancouver? Probably a lot closer than anyone here wants to admit. Certainly not easy.
Vs Arizona? I dunno man, their style is tight checking, low scoring, hard nosed play-off like hockey. They're one team I want nothing to do with in a play-off series.
Also, when does Talbot get a run of games for you guys? I wanted to watch this game but missed the first two periods due too family stuff, so I checked the goals and man, two of those three goals have a pretty big odor to them.

He’s the Flames highest draft pick ever. That created some expectations. That, plus the fact that guys like Larkin, Pasternak, etc are better is hard to swallow.

Disagree. We would not be able to keep up with their speed, which would get even faster in the playoffs. Just being a realist.

Not only has it been proven that the majority of teams have an immediate surge after a new head coach, it's also been shown how nearly every team in the NHL can pick out a similar 7-10 hot streak throughout the season.
But honestly, I'm totally okay with people who are blinded a bit by his record. You do you and I'll continue to be wary of it judging by his many underlying concerns

Their team speed is maybe worse than Calgary’s. You are falling into the media trap of viewing them through two players.

He is saving the Flames couldn't even compete which is dumb
Flames have a winning record against those teams already including some blowouts. Also, I said they need an upgrade at forward...Calgary is the most likely of those teams to upgrade with the cap space.

The surge is actually a pretty big myth. But what did you want - Peters still coaching? A scramble hiring of an out of work coach mid-season? I will take the .633 record.
