Honestly, the coaching staff needs to fine him every time he tries it in a game. It's never worked once, and it often leads to turnovers.

I find it hard to believe that no one has told him stop trying it every single time. It's like he never really practices any alternative so he always defaults back to it when there's no time to think.

The ref whining in this thread is unreal. They’ve missed a few against Dallas, but they’ve let Calgary get away with quite a bit in those final 10. There’s only been one call against Calgary that was questionable.
The bigger problem is the Flames have one line that can score and if they are kept in check the team is ####ed because no one else can step up.

Tkachuk has been pitching in at least. But I agree, some more secondary scoring would be nice if the top line is gonna disappear.
