Too slow
Tkachuk
Monahan
Neal
Jankowski
Too small
Gaudreau
Ryan
Mangiapane
Not skilled enough
Bennett
Neal
Hathaway
Frolik
Too soft
Neal
Monahan
Jankowski
The forwards are severely lacking in complete players, outside of the Swedes there’s nobody that can play any situation, and they both barely pass the “not skilled enough” bar
Players that are in multiple categories can play somewhere else next year

I will continue to beat this horse...
It's not the Avs zone entries that is causing the problem. It's not even their neutral zone play. It's the ease with which they're permitted zone exits.
You leave your end with speed, you get through the neutral zone with speed, and you attack the blue line with speed, and the defenders have to back off and leave a bigger gap. The sense that there has been an unending assault against the Flames zone is the result. The Avs never have the sense that they need to struggle to move the puck out of their end - they have time and they have options.
This all starts with the forecheck. When the Flames are playing two guys up ice, aggressively taking time away from the breakout, the whole game changes for them. This happens almost never. They're using one forechecker and they're keeping him high in the zone with an active stick rather than pressuring the Avs' D. This is a coaching problem and it's not at all clear to me why it has not been addresssed.

Just heart breaking that we gave up leads in two playoff games with three minutes to go.
That just cannot happen.

So not like any of you care, but I'm done with the Flames, done with the Knights, done with the NHL. Time to focus on the family, the job and everything but half ass "workers" posing as "millionaires" It has been a ride, but there is much more important things to spend my time and money on.
This piss poor effort by the flames and piss poor effort by the NHL referees ave done me in. Until they have some sort of public accountability for missed calls or bad games they wont see a dime, viewership or other wise from me. Good luck everyone in CP but as of tonight I am done with sports.

I think people are over reacting (and it is understandable), but I think more than anything it is coaching. Coaches have to get the players to buy in to a team game; Bet if this was Sutter every guy would be busting butts and blocking shots and no one be standing around.

it's pretty funny that after the post-iginla rebuild, the flames are still lacking the key piece that held this team back during the iginla era. ryan o'reilly would have looked really good down the middle

I didn't watch overtime, knew what was going to happen. Been saying it for over a month now and got lambasted for it by a number of people here. This team doesn't have what it takes to play in tight checking, fast paced, intense playoff hockey.
The one thing I will say (even though the Flames got outplayed tonight), that this is a game where you can lay half the blame on the refs. That was atrocious the minute the Flames took a 1 goal lead.
The positive news is that they have some building blocks on the back end (Valamaki, Andersson, Kylington, Hanifin). Up front they need more speed and more 1 shot scorers. Their isn't 1 Flame that you fear when he is about to shoot the puck, and the PP struggles because of it.

Sorry but i know even with a win if you continue to play johnny money and neil in the game we will just get owned in game 6
Colorado has shifted into a playoff gear while those players haven't changed their game from game 1 of the season.
Johnny - Cry, cower when the game is too tough
Money - Great shot but never skates
Neil - not the Neil we signed .... maybe he is and thats why Vegas didnt resign him
Playoffs are and always will be a different game, and we dont seem to have guys with that extra gear for this time of year. (we have a couple but their limited in ice)

Oh boy, have they set up a beautiful story.
Comeback from 3-1 in the first round, then march all the way.
Go Flames Go.

I wouldn’t mind seeing if there is a market for Monahan this summer, but at a minimum he should be stripped of his A. Give it to Bennett who puts it on the line each game.

Honestly,
I really hope Treliving realizes sooner than later to get rid of Gaudreau and Monahan. These are not players that you win with.
Also, Jankowsk is trash too. Get him off the team.

I think now it's pretty obvious that Brodie's days as a Flames should be, and are, numbered.
Bennett on the other hand looks like a keeper. Same goes for Mangiapane.

Well, his best offensive player has decided to take the series off (along with almost the whole last third of the season). It's hard to blame Peters for that.
His love for Neal is incomprehensible, though. It's as if he's gotten orders from above to prove it wasn't a terrible signing.

Done with Monahan. I think Gaudreau could be effective with a faster, big-bodied center. Pretty funny to watch an NHL first line completely unable to retrieve possession. Ever.
And Neal... wow oh wow... we need a time machine to go back to muzzle Treliving on the day he signed that anchor.
