I am now a semi-fan of Jace Evans (if only he chose Calgary all the way). No clue who he is though.
Also - Brandon Schlager sucks!

A guy named Jimmy Hascup is making Stanley Cup predictions?!? That's like an ice cream man whose last name is 'Cone'.

One thing that would give me a lot more confidence in the Flames to go all the way is not just if they beat Colorado, but do it convincingly. Calgary hasn't won a playoff series in under 6 games since '89 when they beat the Blackhawks 4-1. If they could manage to take out the Avalance in 5 games then that would be a good indicator that this is a very different team than the last 2 decades

The first series win is always the toughest who cares how many games.

I agree. The very year he talks about, '89, the Flames went to OT in game 7 of the first round.

Bobby Mac with some nice compliments for Flames. Said he thinks they could do some damage and they don’t get enough credit for their awesome season. Specifically mentioned their goal diff.
Segment also mentioned Flames have 7th best GF/G in NHL since trade deadline and 3rd GA/G. Avs were 13th and 8th, respectively. Although Avs have better record.

Noodles says that we have an edge in goal. That's a first. He didn't like Grubauer's game under pressure last year in the playoffs. He got yanked pretty quickly. Hope we can put a few past him in gm 1. Give him some doubt again.

Coming out flying in the first 20 minutes of game 1 will be very important. Putting a couple past Grubauer early will help to not allow him to settle in/get comfortable and at the same time not allow the flames to get into their own heads either. What the flames don't want to do is take a page out of their book from many games this year and be too pretty early on just to save their actual siege for the third period. If they do they're likely coming from behind and the goalie is likely feeling it after building up their confidence for 40 min. Don't play with fire, be the fire!
