Having 4 point per game forwards is pretty damn sweet.

I thought Brodie was excellent tonight. Seemed like almost every time McDavid had the puck, Brodie was right there in his face to take it away. I know McDavid scored, but I give Brodie a TON of credit for shutting him down most of the night (while also covering for some uncharacteristic Giordano errors). So nice to see the old Brodie back again.

Brodie is suited for the role of shutting down McDavid as he is an elite skater.

Gulutzan is probably still confused at seeing Brodie on the Right side.

What a fun night that was. Coiler fans chirping when they went up two, then shut up after we tied it up. Tails between their greasy legs when we won, love it.

Just got home from the game and logged in to read ATL report. Meh 1st and 2nd, but what a great 3rd it was! Great win!

Parked on 10th Ave. As we're going to the car, lone Oilers fans walking by, heads down, sulking, hopeless... Suck it, Oilers!

After his bad game against the Islanders that got him demoted for a couple periods, Peters didn't make a big deal about it, but said to the media that Brodie would just need to spend some time in the video room with Ryan Huska, and Brodie's been excellent since then. I don't think it's a coincidence - when Brodie was a prospect he really credited Troy Ward for the time spent in the video room, and Hartley was notorious for working with D on the finer details of the game, Giordano said as much when talking about the contrast with Brent Sutter.

Details. That's what's returned to this team. They're disciplined. They're detailed.

I Like Bill Peters.

He was also the first guy in on the forecheck for Ryan's goal and won back that puck. Big play at a key time in the game.

Just looking at the box score and very impressed with Peters' utilization. No one has too much and the right players got ice time. There's a reason the Flames have been so good in the third.
Peters uses his depth appropriately.

He also made that forecheck which led to the PP goal!

Steinberg is so obnoxious. Just acts like he’s the genius in the room during the whole call in section, goomba callers aside.

I love this caller explaining how the trade isn't Lindholm for Ferland and Hanifin for Hamilton but rather Lindholm for Hamilton and Hanifin for Ferland.

Brodie was fantastic! Wonder if GG saw the same thing? Same with Bennett GG should be wondering why he didn't let him loose..

And what a beat Hamonic has been lately.

In the last minute, he was fighting for the puck in the corner, got dumped but then still managed to reach out with his stick and just yank the puck back into his one-man scrum.

He's been huge.

Need to tighten up the giveaways (Backlund and Johnny in particular). Thought the rookie D pair struggled. Jankow too.

Bennett, Neal, Ryan and Frolic were awesome.

Lindy, Mony, Matty fabulous.

Brodie, Hanafin and Hamonic were stellar.

Rittich has the net now. Was terrific.

Hanifin with his best game as a flame. Great pass on the Ryan goal, great play to find Lindholms stick on the winning one. Hanifin and Lindholm winning this team games CD the Oilers is just awesome on many levels.

As far as I am concerned. Rittich is out #1 for the foreseeable future. He kept us in this game.
