Yup. I thought they were skating well early. It all fell apart when a routine weak shot from the outside found the back of the net. It's one thing to be afraid of making a mistake but to be afraid of keeping a guy to the outside? Then you're really playing right...

Smith is a disaster right now, hopefully he can figure things out soon.

miller's made 3 or 4 saves on high danger scoring chances, smith has let in 2 goals on 9 outside shots

This is infuriating. The team can play better but make a damn save, Smith.
He's a burden to the team.

Anaheim gets away with a lot of subtle interference

It would be huge if the Flames could get a late goal in the last five minutes.

They were fine until that 1st goal. You could see the team just say "here we go again" knowing they were going to have to outscore their terrible goaltending.

You can do that for a few games until your guy gets back on track, but at some point, when you don't see that guy come close to being a decent contributor, you start to give up.

I can't blame them honestly. The very definition of "deflating goal".

It is actually dumbfounding that anyone is blaming this being 2-0 without a single high danger scoring chance as being anyone’s fault but Smiths. He doesn’t deserve to be defended. He’s the worst starter, by far, in the NHl so far

Smith body language reminds me of Elliott when he fell of the cliff in the home stretch and playoffs that year.

I really...like REAAAAALY want to put Sigalet on the hot seat here. I cannot fathom that 4 goalies wash through his coaching with the same limp dingus body language every time.
