It is strangely quiet on the Neal front. With Vegas spending $6.5M/year on Statsny, I wonder if Neal is going wherever Tavares is not.

Would be nice but I highly doubt it. Tre has shown with these RFA contracts that leverage comes with time...i suspect he takes his time to get it right.

These guys have arbitration rights though, so expect a deal done sooner than with past RFA's like Gaudreau for example.

The one constant all of these years has been Button. Until he is gone, I don't have much faith in the Flames drafting.

Especially when we get a player back that will autimatically make the Flames a contender next season.

Without seeing every teams' list, we obviously can't know that for sure. However, yes, we can be as certain as one can be in these situations.

There was a top 3 (Ekblad, Reinhart and Bennett) with Draisaitl mostly 4th, but 3rd on some lists (read: Edmonton). Bennett was #1 on Central Scouting. Then there was a very large drop off (by pretty much ALL accounts) to the next group, with almost everyone listing Dal Colle, Virtanen, Nylander, Fleury and Ehlers in that group.

If there was a single team that didn't have Bennett in the top 4, they would have been massive outliers.
