heh, supposed reasonable Oiler fans on here now showing their true colors. I hope everyone remembers this next time anyone pleads to take it easy on them in the E=NG thread.

I haven't watched a lot of Chris Stewart, but he reminds me of Chris Simon. Big, intimidating guy who actually has decent hands and can score.

Yah lol. Mcdipchit prods at smith like 4 times while the puck is under him and the flames rag doll the Archie looking dumbass. What a surprise!!! But the best part is that the oilers barely try to stand up for their fearless leader.

Except Chris was just overtly mean, I mean when Sutter traded for him, he was just what the Flames needed that season. I guy that could scare the crap out of you because when he looked at you it was like a Lion looking a sheep.

I suspect those two points just prolonged the inevitable. But yeah, the Oilers are long since out of the conversation - would have been nice to win that one last night just to make life more difficult for the Flames.

I'll be at the game at the end of the month - hoping I'll at least have 1 goal to cheer for.

I'm not sure I see much greatness in Stewart. He is sooooo slow.

Look on the brightside, that's 2 points they didn't get to keep pace in the lottery standings.

So there I was in my flames uniform between periods and the teams trainer Knuckles had taken my gloves to the air dryer when that moron Principe comes up to me with his microphone and jams it in my face.

"Hey Champ" he asks me, "How does it feel to be on the ice with Connor?"

I said "What"

And he says "I mean you're clearly sharing ice with him"

Well I snap I lose it. I grab the greasy little dork by his $5 dollar perm and ram his face into a picture of Messier in a towel hanging out with Gary Coleman, and I grab the microphone and do an exclusive interview with his colon.

The little bastard starts sobbing and he turns around and starts doing the Macorina while singing "Hey Pakarinan" or something like that, and I figure I need to put him out of his misery.

I hammer him with a sharp left, and then go to the ribs I grab a Hot dog bun from the concession stand and ram it into his face and the little twerp goes down like a near miss of a hockey stick makes McDavid dive for cover.

Meanwhile Knuckles comes back with my gloves and starts laughing as Principe is rolled up like an Embryo in the corner and clutching a Connor McDavid bobble head, except the head can only snap backwards.

Ever since then I've been the champ.

I don't think anyone has ever seen greatness in Stewart. He's a classic role player, and he's generally filled his role pretty well.

Not bad Cap'n except next time you have to work "solar-plexus" in there somewhere

I also missed the immortal head-fake "with a picture of Messier in a towel hanging out with Gary Coleman."

That's exactly what I thought when we picked him up. Decent player, tough as nails. HUGE deterrent, and fit right into Calgary's identity at the time. Now I know Stewart doesn't fit our identity this year, but you can't argue that he doesn't make all the players play bigger when he's on the ice. Kassian would have been chasing Lazar around the ice losing his marble(s) last night after "high sticking" Mcdavid, but as you can see his mouth was sewn shut and gloves firmly cemented on when Stewart was on the ice with him.

Let's just hope Stewart doesn't get penalties for breathing on another player like Simon did.

No, you are a fan of a team that was so bad the league needed to change it's rules on the draft lottery. Could be two bottom 5 finishes in the 3 years since getting McDavid. This is after drafting 4 first overall picks. Go enjoy your cool aid banner ceremonies. How embarrassing it must be to be right next to the Browns for most pathetic sports franchise in North America.

I've moved onto Friday vs Sharks...
What are the line up projections when Tkachuk and Versteeg get back in?
Do you leave Janko, Stewart and Shore out?

I think Jankowski draws back in, and Hathaway is out along with Stewart and Shore.

Johnny-Mony-Ferly
Chucky-Backs-Fro
Bennett-Janko-Versteeg
Brouwer-Stajan-Lazar

Shore/Hathaway/Stewart

That would be my lineup.
