Benching? Line demotions?

So many guys are underperforming a player would be back on the top line in no time after a demotion because so many other guys would get demoted after him, thereby pushing the original slacker back up the depth chart.

The coach needs to motivate and allow the players to play to their opponents not just a ridgid system which is obviously a failure.

Think about it even with executes, the system, results in failure.

Anything but the 4th, because we KNOW what the results from the 4th line were going to be.

It's important to remember that the players feel the momentum on the bench too. They WANT to get things going. Finally scoring a goal in a really frustrating game, and then throwing out the 4th line (who everyone knows is a black hole offensively), sends a brutal message to the bench.

Cause it did so much good for those Galoolies up North. Nope they threw thousands of dollars worth of jersey's on the ice over the year, and they still suck.

I don't think he said much more than what Zamler implied. It was basically that the players were getting away with too much because the coaching staff lacked that tough guy approach that most NHL coaches have.

During the game they seem to all be thinking about jetting out over night to go back home.
