How was the highlight reel eye opening? It was a selection of what was already seen and known. Elliott played a great game.
Otherwise:
For all of the comments about discipline, the only sure way to stay out of the box is for the refs not to blow the whistle and send you there. Which means in some cases don't put your sticks or shins near Ducks and let them flop around. The refs had to call the late 5 on 3, but it certainly isn't a makeup for the crap they called on the Flames
Worst line change ever had nothing to do with reffing. Flames gave away the difference maker, and game.
Garrett is awful.

No you're right... they have been beating the rest of the league down... Holy crap... can CP not recognize that this years version of the Flames was mildly above crap in a crap division and that they have no chance of going anywhere? Can you people no recognize that this team has serious flaws from the forwards to the defence, to the the 'goaltending'? Am I the only one who can recognize that this years team would be lucky to win 2 games against the much more superior "Ducks"?

I'm sure there's an angry prospector board out there but to sign up you probably have to be able to use such words as Fiddlefaddle and Conswarnit.

Naw, I'm good here. I don't care if you disagree with me. I just find the general attitude of this forum kinda mirrors our society, and I find our society kind of sad and pathetic right now. But I digress; this isn't a social commentary. That said, that gif pretty much sums up what the Ducks are going to do to the Flames. But hey, maybe the NHL will give them a participation ribbon for "trying so hard". As far as the sentiment that we wouldn't have lost if we hadn't blown that line change...guess what? Anaheim didn't blow any line changes. Because line changes are a critical part of the game that good teams don't take lightly. I couldn't believe the poster who made fun of the play by play guy for exhorting the Ducks' quickness on the lines changes and contrasting it with the Flames lackadaisical (sp?) line changes. That's what the Flames need, that kind of hustle. Y'all just can't give Anaheim even an ounce of credit or accept the fact that they completely schooled us, yet again. But it's okay, because they tried! All the pressure is on the Flames right now and they are caving; I seriously don't know what game you watched. The Ducks are who we thought they were, and the Flames aren't who we thought they were, at least not yet. Anyway, that's just a little of my opinion and a little of what I think about some opinions on here. You're free to disagree with me, but I know some people can't handle that so say what you will. I'm still gonna post my opinions here whether you like it or not as this is a public forum. If you disagree, I won't tell you to leave.

Tkachuk also needs to show more. He gets a touch of benefit from me because it's his first year, but he needs to be a leader. Get back to game 70 Chunk.

Your spelling of lackadaisical is the only correct thing about this post.
Now #### off. 'Sad and pathetic', my ass. It's posts like this which drag this forum down. You aren't helping anyone or anything.

I thought it was eye opening as spaced out over 55 minutes you may forget how many times he saved the Flames bacon. It was highlight after highlight of excellent saves where you just thought to yourself that the man came to play tonight.

The 'goaltending' stole the ####ing show tonight. It would have been 15-2 with anyone other than Elliott in net.
You make me pine for polak's positivity.

I see some of the usual suspects are out.
It's actually amusing how much of a caricature certain posters have become in their Debbie Downer / woe-is-me persona.
Personally, I don't get it. Either it's a schtick you spend too much time and effort in presenting to the world, or you're actually that depressing to be around in real life.
Either way, I feel second-hand embarrassment when I see some of those posts pop up in PGTs after losses.

The stupid canucks will win a cup before this hopeless team.

Was there even a timeout called before that 5 on 3? I can't recall was too stressed out lol.
Under 3min left and no timeout called ???? If so inexcusable as a coach you want to make damn sure everyone is on the same page.
It is not the only reason they lost but it one of the signuficant reasons. The amateur moment of tge coaches calling all 5 players off the ice at stupid time and the lazy skate back by all 5 players that was absurd.

Tonight Hamilton was equally as bad. When two of your top guys have the same bad night it's going to be really tough to get a win against the Ducks.
