Rule 69 seems so clear; don't see anything about need to have the puck covered
part of rule 69

In the event that a goalkeeper has been pushed into the net
together with the puck by an attacking player after making a stop, the
goal will be disallowed.

I disagree. His job is to stick with the right def., unless the puck comes high without the right def. open.

It was obviously Pearson's stick. FFS

Flames have been given exactly one powerplay in the last 7 periods. Sucks to be playing teams playing perfect infraction free hockey.

That's not true though. It was clearly Pearson's.

That was a power play? Felt like a 4v4 as one of our forwards loses or gives the puck away every single time he touches it. Feels like Mason Raymond is back on this team.

Luckily the Kings are not a high scoring team. The officials spotted them one goal to help out but I doubt they'll capitalize too many more times tonight, so there's plenty of chance to pull back in.

Can't win with 0 goals anyway. Gotta score to have a chance regardless.

Make life hard for Bishop. Get him out of his comfort zone. Just gotta break the dam.

If the NHL can rationalize this, they can rationalize any goal.

I'm actually officially done with the Flames and the NHL after this season if we miss the playoffs. Not because of the Flames but because of the NHL's behavior over the Widman incident.

This is clearly a playoff team at this point and we're being systematically broken down to a fringe, possible non playoff team. The facts are too clear, if we miss I have enough justification to give this league up, and will with the other sports I'm now following.

The Flames were my team since I was a kid and the NHL was my only sport and I've have had so many great memories, but the NHL on top of becoming a weak, possessive game that doesn't inspire much emotion has done something here with the Flames that a beer league hockey commissioner should be embarrassed of, let alone a billion dollar sports league.

I'm at the game so I only got a couple replays and from there it looked like a goal. Am I missing something from the telecast that shows t wasn't?

You must've missed the last few games where he made great defensive plays on the backcheck.

This doesn't seem right. Flames didn't get a pp for two straight games?

To be fair, Daryl always had really strong PK teams.

5th Los Angeles Kings 84.7%

With our Jeckle and Hyde PP, it should be no surprise the Flames couldn't get set up all.

On the replay you can clearly see the puck is not in the net when Elliott's pad gets pushed in

Just say the replay of the goal. Pretty obvious the puck never goes in if Elliot's pad isn't repeatedly whacked by Pearson. Seriously NHL?
