I think if there is a team that Gulutzen wants to emulate, based on his responses that team is probably this year's vintage of the Penguins.

That would be the smart play. Rely on your young energetic skilled players that lead by wanting the game in their hands.
That is what I expect Gulutzan to employ when it comes to Johnny, Monahan, Bennett, Gio, Brodie, Hamilton.

Will be interesting to see how he does. His results in Dallas weren't great...but they were respectable. That team was in transition when he got there, and looking at their roster and that they did do a part rebuild in 2013, he did actually get a fair bit out of those teams.
He's been in the league for quite some time and worked with a few different people.

I think if we want the Flames top line to play like Crosby's line, we need someone big there, David Backes would be a good fit there. I think you can Backes and get some for the Bennett line(will be very hard to), that you can have too line with the potential to do that.

Crosby played with 5'9" Conor Sheary and 5`11` Patrick Hornqvist - not exactly 'heavy' players.

That is true but we don't have anyone at the skill level of Crosby.

Also like this, from interview now on fan960:
It's not going to be a strategy to block shots. Blocking shots is something you do when your defensive system/strategy fails.

Far be it from me to argue with an NHL head coach but isn't that exactly what the Pens did to the Sharks in the finals? To perfection I might add. Sharks went long stretches without a shot on net and would be difficult to say the Pens system failed.

Nope that was because the Pens had the puck all the time.
Sharks low shot totals were because of having very few shot attempts to begin with, and when they did then Pittsburgh blocked them.
Pretty much exactly what Gulutzan wants the Flames to do.
