typical Guardiola match. They'll pass and bore you to death.

great start for Rafa in the Championship. Consecutive defeats against Fulham and Huddersfield.

Well, should have played like that the whole half. But 3 is 3.

Should've let those that chose City to win the title, wait until after they played their first game.

I may be the only one who cares, but the new Premier League design and colour scheme is ugly as hell.

Can you imagine a United/City game if he who must not be named was still in charge?

no worries, Guardiola will probably bring in Ter Stegen, who constantly ####s up because he thinks he's Manuel Neuer.

too bad Moyes was his usual negative self today and subbed Defoe for McNair. As always he was so scared of losing that he killed rhythm and momentum by making an ultra-defensive change, inviting pressure from City. And of course he paid the price.

SO, was City boring? Like deathly boring? Because thats pretty much Pep's MO.

Bore you to death until a marquee player makes something from nothing.

When are they signing Messi?

it really was your standard Pep game. Possession was about 80 per cent, lots of sideway passing. Stones was pretty much in a sweeper role like Boateng was at Bayern, and Clichy and Sagna pressed high up the pitch. Pretty much typical Pep, so yeah, if you considered his Bayern team boring then today was boring too. They looked very reliant on De Bruyne when it came to offense. He can be that marquee player but IMO he tends to drift in and out of games a lot.

So the one-trick-pony pulls the same trick out of his presumably otherwise empty bag of tricks.

Lloris apparently hurt his hamstring today. Second best keeper in the prem.. that'd be a massive blow to Spurs.

In transfer news, looks like United are close to getting Saints captain, CB Fonte.

I think you're offering pretty high praise to Loris Karius.

He played a few minutes with it than walked off, I don't think it's too serious

if they rest him a month he only missed 2 games, Vorm one of the better backups in the league

I saw that Pep's front 6 today was

Nolito/Aguero/Sterling
Silva/KDB
Fernadinho

And I thought, not even he can keep an attacking front 5 like that boring, and yet....

yeah it's easier to deal with such an injury if you have a great backup. Vorm is really good, he can surely do a job for them for a few weeks.

yes please. Big fan of Fonte, getting rid of Jones and/off Rojo and using Smalling/Bailly/Fonte/Blind as center backs this year would be fantastic.
