I just got my Prime set back up for no particular reason that perfectly lines up with the release of this season. Nope no correlation at all.

So glad the show's back, I missed it... but it being a short season and all I'm going to end up in withdraw again pretty quick.

Some random thoughts

I don't know why but when I read the books I thought Belters were more evenly split about Inaros and were sympathetic to the Inners getting genocided with the asteroid drops, but on the show even rando Belter bar flies seem to celebrate the millions dying w/ only Filip developing PTSD and Drummer's crew taking issue w/ this. Interesting they changed Filip's Cere's bar fight from killing a security officer to killing his Free Navy bestie in a drunken stupor.

Too bad they wrote off Bull and Dawes off screen, both were fantastic characters I was hoping would come back. Stupid scheduling conflicts.

I rewatched the first season this summer and that really helped me understand what is going on in our solar system.

I am still very confused about what happened in that rock quarry during season 4.

Baby birds thing sticks out a bit but is supposed to build up for pretty important later content. Dunno why they'd keep it in when we don't have a season 7 and no confirmed movies or anything yet.

I hated it was done off screen with the how big his character was in season 1, but with Jared Harris's time commitment to the Foundation, it wasn't possible to get him slotted in. Same with Bull who they were setting up as Alex's replacement but with unknowns of Covid and filming delays he ended up doing Narcos Mexico instead.

Feels like they ran out of money not enough episodes plus the writing is okay but there is a crackle missing somehow, like things are too simple.

So we're gonna see some new ships in action in the last few episodes. "Hecate Keel Hulls" from the bonus content and the whatever class battleships like the Zenobia that Avasarala's on. Interesting the Zenobia's looks like the UNN's answer to the Donnanager class.
