I think part of it is Bennett just failing to adjust his game. But I'd bet he's been told not to, probably because his single minded net driving is just what the Flames (and Johnny) needs.

Since he won't adjust his game, we'll just have to wait for his body to develop into his style. At which point he could be just the tonic. Very encouraging anyway.

Poor Bennett, if he didn't go back there to help Gaudreau, he'd have been in prime position for a pass and easy goal.

A part of the learning curve with Gaudreau is to just watch and be ready with your stick on the ice. The puck will show up on your stick, just need to be ready. With Vision like Johnny's you have to always be ready.

Where did all the Russell hate come from. He is a fantastic 4th dman and his weakness of keeping guys to the outside is made up for in shot blocks.
As I said before, not every goal against has to have a goat. Would prefer watching a sen make a nice play than watching him just blow by Engelland and cut in behind him.
