2-0 - Mangiapane was the decoy in front on the Labanc goal which was off of a gorgeous pass from Andersson. 2 first assists from Andersson, he's flying tonight

With Kanzig and Smith together, I don't think the Heat are going to lack truculence.

Colts down 4-0 after 2 periods - havent been without their chances just havent had any puck luck and 3 of the 4 against happend in the first 7 minutes. Andersson and Mangiapane having tough games but have still looked dangerous at times.
Here's to a good old fashioned 14/15 Flames 3rd period comeback!
On the otherside Nylander has looked great all game and is a threat most times he is out, Mcleod looks very good, great speed and he is chippy/hard to play against. I think if Day falls into the 20-30 range I hope we take him with a pick if we have one in that range. He looks solid, calm.

Wow pims galore in the game - Mangiapane and Andersson played a rough/physial game which was good to see - they didnt back down at all Andersson ejected at the end of the game but also threw a massive hit mid way through the third. Magiapane with 6 or 8 pims too - very chippy game.

np SP - been fun to follow! Nylander is selling me - great two-way presence and does things in the D zone that lead directly to offensive threats the other way. He has an absolutely gorgeous ability to throw the puck softly into high threat areas which reminds me of Johnny alot. He would look good eventually on a line with Bennett if we are fortunate enough to draft him though he is still at least 2 years out IMO. Mcleod and Day both impressed too, play big bodied games.

North Bay turned a 3-2 lead 12 minutes from eliminating the Petes into a 7-5 loss.
Petes force game 7.

Stats wise it doesn't look like Karnaukhov is making much progress. I wondered a little when we drafted him but maybe he meets the eyeball test better.

I also haven't seen a lot of progress in this game. He actually has a lot of the tools that could potentially translate to higher levels of hockey. He has the size, the offensive smarts, and defensive awareness to be a pretty all-around player. I think the Flames drafted him hoping that he could improve on his overall speed, passing, etc.
For some reason, he hasn't really gotten any faster. Hopefully the Flames do their best to address his deficiencies this summer. He has to become both heavier and faster, which is easier said than done. I think if he does progress, it will take a lot of time.

Uphill battle tonight for the Colts - Dylan Sadoway is sitting out with an upper body injury and his secondary offence and PKing will be missed...now the leading scorer of the OHL Labanc just took a puck to the face...lots of blood and he looked out of it getting helped off.
Mangiapane already a presence on the ice to start with a couple of chances.
