In a word... Domination. By that I don't mean "a big Alliance formed early that runs the game start to finish" because seasons where we have a big alliance can be interesting because eventually the big alliance has to turn on itself.

My two least favorite seasons are One World and Redemption Island and the common thread amoungst those two is that they both featured a completely dominant player. Someone who controlled the game from start to finish, was never in any real danger, and "looked" like the winner almost from episode one. I mean did anyone think that someone other then Spradlin or Mariano were winning those seasons after the 2nd or 3rd episode? A game without any legitimate competition isn't really a game worth watching.

Ya I would agree with that exactly, you just want, especially after the merge, for there to be swaps/blindsides/scrambling

I don't think a situation like where Jeremy looked in control early on and still won hurts a season, but there were plenty of times he could have gone, and twists throughout

Just got around to watching the finale (it was spoiled for me already).

Keith is moron for not pulling that necklace at tribal and reading the note out. He had the perfect excuse that it was the last time he could play it so no harm in showing it. That was the best made fake idol they've ever had and it most likely would have worked.

bob's was better in Gabon, but in Gabon every idol looked the same so it wouldn't work that well.

This season every idol was different looking, so the possibility of a fake one being successful is increased.
