Anyone know if there's a way to build sandbag walls (or half walls of other kinds)?
Not sure if there are "blueprints" to unlock new things to build or not

Was it concluded that Green Man Gaming had the best price for this?
Also, what do you think the chances are of this going on sale by Christmas?

Well I caved, downloading now. Always loved the fallout.
I finally got a ps4 last week and all the sudden have nhl, bloodborne. Rocket league and this. Next week star wars. They're finally coming out with games at a decent pace. Hopefully I've made good choices and can be satiated for a while lol

Pretty much.
I know that Dragon Age (console) was released on 11/18, dropped to $50 on Boxing Day. Black Friday as well I believe IIRC. At the same time GTA V which might be a more apt comparison didn't get many discounts but it did get some ####ty in game cash bundled sales.

This game is awesome. I don't know what people who don't like it were expecting. This is exactly what I wanted a new Fallout game to be. They did dumb down the RPG elements a lot, even from Skyrim's, which was already pretty simple, but whatever. I'm still loving this game.
The dynamic weather is great. I'm in the middle of a crazy thunderstorm right now.

Well, it's what will keep me from buying the game until significant mods come out
Edit: Upon brief review, it seems like a lot of criticism is directed at the diminished RPG elements

I dislike the new system aswell. It is something I expect to get modded fairly quickly restoring the old abilities and perks.

You... do understand what a fallout game is supposed to be, right? You're supposed to be able to solve problems in a variety of different ways. Not just by shooting things. You should be able to get through a fallout game while barely firing a shot.
In other words, RPG elements.
This sounds like exactly the problem I had with Fallout 3, only more so. Well, one of the problems.

After 1 day, Amazon already has Fallout on just the PS4 as 2nd biggest video game release of 2015. Hell if this isn't a massive success already for Bethesda! Very curious of the total launch numbers - I'm sure we will hear about some of their total numbers soon.

That's really not the definition of an RPG. That's just what FO1/2 were.
If people expected Fallout 4 to be like the original game, they shouldn't have been excited for this one in the first place.
I'll say it again. This is a game for fans of Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I'd love for them to add more choice, but that would of course be at the expense of something else. There's already a lot of game here.

Alternatively I recommend Wasteland 2 for something much more similar to the original fallouts.
Edit: whoops just saw blaster addressed this above

Imagine if some super rich saudis swept into Calgary, bought the Flames franchise, and promptly withdrew the team from the NHL and set them to the task of winning krumping competitions, 'cause that is what all the cool kids are into'.
If you saw them selling tickets to a new Calgary Flames season, would you just shrug and say, "OK, I guess that's what the franchise is now" or would you say, "This is BS! They were an up and coming hockey team that should have been competing for Stanley Cups for years! That's what I want to be watching!"?

Fallout 3 is when the series changed, not Fallout 4. Complaining that the game is now an action RPG was a task for 7 years ago.
This is what the series is now. This is what 3 was, this is what New Vegas was. Fallout 1 and 2 were fantastic strategy RPGs. Fallout 3 and 4 are fantastic action RPGs.
Either buy the game or don't. Support it or don't support it. The series is more popular now than it ever was as a tactical game.
As others have mentioned, Wasteland 2 is a decent pickup for fans of the original Fallout games. Paper Mario 2 is perhaps my favourite game ever, and when they released Paper Mario 3 and completely changed the genre, I was disappointed. I didn't like the game. They've since released a handheld game that is also nothing like Paper Mario 2. I have no reason to expect Paper Mario 5 to be anything like the original games.
As an aside, I think Gametrailers does a really good job in this video touching upon a lot of the complaints and bugs: http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/1...talk-fallout-4
