Absolute joke. 2 missed calls one of which directly leads to game winning goal.
#### off Anaheim, NHL

Yikes. Change the crew before going to Winnipeg or they're gonna get stabbed.

Man, if it's Flames-Ducks in the second round, the third periods are going to be insane. No lead is safe.

Going to bed, before I have to ready how dominant the Ducks are, going into both games 1 and 2 behind on the Jets.
Too many men call missed, and the game winning goal setup by a player literally hauling down Little to keep the puck in the zone. Bullcrap.

Just pathetic to see a game decided by that missed holding the stick penalty.

Grinds my gears when whistles get put away like that.
Getzlaf probably didn't even feel Ladd's high stick on his helmet, gets called, then at the end game, you could murder another player, and get no call.
Not in this game, but then someone accidentally shoots the puck over the glass, and gets an automatic call.

Ask the Flames about shoddy officiating. The bottom line is that for the second game in a row the Jets were a no-show in the 3rd period. I'm not going to fault Maurice because Hartley can't get his team to play in the first period but it goes to show that playing 40 minutes may win you games in the regular season but not the playoffs.

Regarding the Too Many Men non-call, it seems like that was the right call based on the current NHL standard.
The guy coming off the ice was within 5 feet of the bench when his replacement came over the boards. Neither the player exiting the ice nor his replacement touched the puck while they were both on the ice.
It seems like they've changed the standard of enforcement of the rule in recent years, where they used to be a lot more strict about any player playing the puck before a change was completed and now it's only if the player who plays the puck is directly replacing the guy who hasn't left the ice yet.
Tonight's was close, but seems consistent with how I've seen it called all year.

Any non-Jets fan think Kesler should be suspended for his elbow to Myers' head??

Doesn't matter what we think. It's the playoffs and a key player will have to do something more severe than that to get a suspension. That's just how it works.

Jets lead in Anaheim for 43 mins . Ducks lead for 4.
Result? 2 losses.
God damn it.

They've gotta figure out how to keep playing after the second intermission. It was a fire drill in their end both games

Ladd has been horrible this series.
-dumb penalties
-invisible on first line
-collides with Pavelec in warm-up almost knocking him out with injury
If any player is to blame for this loss it's him. Not an example you want to set, if you are captain of the team.

Winnipeg isn't even close to the same level as the Ducks. Period.

The Jets can't play hang on in the 3rd period, especially with a 1 goal lead. That's asking for trouble no matter how good or bad the reffing is.

Prevent defense prevents winning.
But as much as it's tempting to try to figure out who's to blame on the Jets' side, it's really less about them than their opponents. Notwithstanding the pre-series hype, the Ducks are just... better.
Series isn't over of course; you're not in trouble until you lose a game at home.
