Put me down as another that would prefer no anthems at NHL games.
Outside of sports, how often do you actually hear the Canadian anthem? I'd rather keep them in rather than having a whole generation of kids who don't know the words to O Canada because they hardly ever hear it

Do they not sing it in school anymore? That's where I learned it.

I enjoy the anthems at the games. Not so much for the patriotic aspect but more so just for the tradition. It's chilling during the playoffs. The calm before the storm. I think it gets the crowd and the players fired up. I'd definitely vote to send Canyon packing though. Country singer is terrible.
My favorite singer is probably Jim Cornelison in Chicago. Dude can seriously belt it out. Tell me an anthem like that doesn't get the crowd into the game.
I don't mind George Canyonero that much, but Heather was much better IMO.

I don't know if it was just because it was the playoffs and everything was so awesome...but I found George was 100x better in the playoffs with a little emotion.
