There is no greater joy then seeing Edmonton fans walking down the stairs with 5 or 10 minutes left in the game, ignoring their squalling whelp as they sadly fumble for their keys to their Cordoba, or Gremlin.
Knowing that the Oilers have once again, let them down and sucked any joy out of their life, knowing that they have nothing in life to look forward to but falling on to their foam mattress in their double wide after they fold their laundry load of sweatpants and dress socks, knowing that they will have to wake up early to polish up them there dress shoes before reporting to their minimum wage job at the cat skinning factory.

I'm actually quite shocked there was anyone left in the arena to throw their sweater/jersey.
Probably had to be in attendance at the end of the game to be eligible for the random draw for Paul Coffey's used water bottle and a random spare game worn sock of Lee Fogolin's, both from 1984.

Don't be silly. Only Tier 2 fans drive Gremlins. The people at the games have really cool rides . . . like Impalas and LeSabres . . . or
BITCHIN' CAMAROS!

Derek Wills was on 960 about an hour ago saying he thinks there's a chance Gaudreau is a healthy scratch tomorrow.
Wouldn't surprise me at all. Didn't play that well last night - looked more timid than in prior games. Also, St Louis is a big physical team. Also, still need to get Setoguchi into some games.
Not too worried if Gaudreau sits out a couple games. He's an NHL rookie and could benefit from watching a few games from the pressbox this year. Seemed to put some jump into Backlund's game last year, for example.

I'm ok with Johnny sitting a couple here and there. Like many have mentioned, he's coming off the flu. He's a rookie. He also isn't used to playing games every other day. Ease him into the NHL, just like goalies need there starts managed so they don't burn out at the end of the year, I'm assuming most college kids do as well...
And, St. Louis is a heavy team, and they have last change... not really setting up the kid for success IMO

I don't think he will sit, but he shouldn't sit after just one mediocre game. His leash shouldn't be short.
You can't make him a better player on the road if he's not given the opportunity to work on it.
If it's a punishment for his play I agree with you. But if it's one game to give him a chance to watch from another perspective and slowly get him used to the NHL workload it's fine. Especially against a banging team like St Louis.
The comment was made by Burke after the Winnipeg road game in the pre season I believe. Maybe one game was all they needed to see.. Just saying that there is a perception by management that he's not as effective when opposing coaches have the last change.
