We have room at our group camp site this weekend. We are all 35-45 y/0 with kids so theres lots of noise!! If you have kids and fit the age range PM me and i can send you the info...
Thanks for the offer, although it seems I have been outvoted, as my wife and the other family are married to the original campsite...
I'm heading out to Paddys Flats next weekend (22-24), anyone have any idea how early to haul trailer out as it's first come first serve campground?
I'm thinking because it's going to be nice I should go out Wednesday evening.
Also, anyone have knowledge of the campground? I'm going with 1 other family our trailers are 26' Total and 28' total. Are there any loops/sites specifically that will accommodate 2 trailers on same site?
We just bought our first trailer last week (12' pop-up) and will be out on our maiden voyage this weekend at Elkwood.
Of course I discovered yesterday that it still has its original tires (circa 2005) and I can't find a place locally with decent prices - Costco has good prices (1/2 the price Princess Auto is asking) but will take 7-10 days to deliver.

I'd say you are plenty early going out on Wednesday. I haven't actually stayed there, but often go to Gooseberry which is a few KM closer to Calgary. I've even gone to Gooseberry Thursday afternoon of the May long, but we got one of the last good spots.
As for two trailers on the same spot, I've stopped trying to do that. You pay the same for having a 2nd sleeping unit on the same spot as you would to get another; I find it's just better for each trailer to have it's own spot.

I was out at Mclean on Tuesday night and people were already dragging their RVs in.

Been camping in that general area every May Long since 2007 without issue.
Funny last year I hauled out 2 garbage bags of other people's crap from vision questing 20 year olds that spent the weekend bombing up and down the logging road in mommys land rover. I am really hoping they go back to the no camping on the grasslands rule so the tobacco first nation do not decide that they have had enough issues and close the area down.

We stay at a campsite and don't bike or quad so your anger is misdirected.
Just because people have bikes or quads doesn't mean they are making a mess. Its usually the younger non OHV campers in the land use areas making a mess cutting down live trees and using the woods as their electric circus. Unfortunately what you end up seeing on the news is the long weekend quad trash (white sunglasses and affliction shirt) with a beer in one hand going through the same mud hole for hours in one of staging areas where they can get the news van into. You never see them interview the guy out there with his kid teaching them to bike or quad or the guys picking up other people's trash while 20 dumb kids watch.
Time to dismount from my soapbox.

Looks like the freshwater tank on my trailer was not bolted in correctly (at all). I have had it for a couple years now and the one side of it fell down from the supports this weekend.
Weird question I know, but I'm just seeing if anyone has had this issue before? I don't think there is any damage to anything else since it was resting on the trailers axle.
