As a minor but amusing note, apparently his nickname is Big Bad

Hartley called him that in todays pregame interview. Also said "he'd take a run at the zamboni if he gets a chance". "Needs to learn positioning and the little tricks".

I am going to make a proposal to the sound guys at the Saddledome:

Johnny scores: "Johnny Be Good"
Monahan scores: "Mony Mony"
Wolf scores: "Clap for the Wolfman" (alternate - "Hungry Like the Wolf")

any more?

Refs fall for that a lot and he'll need to learn to pull his arm out again, or at least put his hands up indicating that he's let go of the player.

His stamina looked just fine considering how often he'll be out there in an average game. Even if he's a step or two behind the rest of the Flames, so is most of the league in terms of conditioning, so it isn't a slight to his conditioning. He's at least on par with Bollig's stamina, but probably has better speed, agility, and power along with a smart stick, better shot and offensive awareness, and more calculated aggression. He's an upgrade right now as far as I'm concerned, but it's a small sample size and I'd like to see about 5-10 games before I'm certain.
Disagree about the stamina, he looked good in the first but by the third he looked totally gassed. Also agree to disagree on the penalty as he wouldn't have needed to reach in if the other guy didn't have a step on him.

Agree that it may have been a cheap call but if he would have kept his legs moving he wouldn't have been in that position to begin with. Totally my opinion of course.

Nice.

Hudler's nickname is Happy so I guess they could do the Pharrell (I'm fairly sick of it but it works for a goal song).

Gio? something about a captain?

Byron scoring on a breakaway: Mission Impossible? Don't Stop Believing? At Last?

Everybody Loves Raymond theme song? It would be pretty funny, because it sucks as a goal song.

Yes please

What if for Gio, we collectively say, "Oh captain, my captain"?
