honestly I'm a bit perplexed right now. The one thing I didn't expect was a reveal on day 1, right after we had talked extensively about the need of the townies with abilities to not reveal themselves. We really have to play it smart now.
Its a clever play, if we all change our vote before he makes a kill to save that ability and the doctor saves him tonight, the mafia probably can't take the chance at night killing him and losing that vote.
Its a immense swing, and he saves himself and that one time big gun ability.
If he's a vigilante.
Heck we can't even lynch him for fear of losing that ability, and now that we know who he is, we can use him like a nuclear weapon.
Its a bad idea to reveal, but man, the possibilities.
One thing we should do this time around is agree to a list of users we suspect, rank them and then ask the investigator role to investigate them at night and reveal the next day.
I did mention that my ability is useless early in the game. But with 6 votes already, I might not be around when the hammer drops on me, so by revealing now I can get some feedback. I know my time is short in this game now.
I figured if I came to my own defence it would look very mafia like. I don't do well putting my thoughts into words as I am a numbers person.
My reasoning for the 3 people I name was this.
GP_Matt has giving to strategies for us to look at. But both are better for the mafia factions then for the townies.
Rathji was the first to single me out, for doing the same thing he did earlier. I picked activeStick because he was active late in the last game so thought he would help the townies if he is in fact a townie.
GGG followed my first line of thinking tying to get a quick hammer so the mafia can kill more members of the town.
I buckled down at work to get some things done and apparently missed a lot of action.
It seems safe to assume that ineedanother is telling the truth. If he lying though, does it make sense for the real vigilante to step forward now and force a showoff between the two? I think they might be wiser to keep it to themselves for the moment
Maybe we give it the night to see if someone else claims to be the vigilante, then if no one comes forward, you pick one of those three to lynch, then we could have you kill off one of the remaining two if necessary, or hold off for more info. Provided that the doctor is paying attention and makes sure to save you over night.
I don't feel that based on his previous posts Crazy Bacon Legs will be an asset to the town. Even if you find his posts entertaining it's a lot different than being informing. I fear that if he does end up being mafia he will be able to get by without contributing by making his nutty posts without being challenged. If he is a townsperson I would like some confidence that his posts wont be just for entertainment value.
Vote: Crazy Bacon Legs
Interesting. So you make the following points:
1) Crazy Bacon Legs makes wacky posts
2) If he is a mafia, he will go unchallenged
3) If he is a townsperson, he will fly under the radar.
I concede point #1.
But here's the flaw in your decision to go after me:
If you are mafia, you know I am not mafia. So you know you can safely accuse a townsperson (me) of being mafia in the hopes of gathering enough of your mafia buddies to conveniently jump on board with lynching me. "Go after that guy," you say with an innocent whistle. "He won't contribute much to the game!" Except only members of one group knows who the other mafia are. MAFIA! Well, well. How convenient...
If you are a townsperson, you would be more than happy to have a fellow townsperson fly under the radar with his wacky demeanor and model-like good looks. It increases our numbers and helps us in the end game. And yet you decide to go after the one person in this game who was a RUNNER UP as INTERNET DETECTIVE OF THE YEAR, 2019. Crazy Bacon Legs! How fascinating!
So you vote to lynch me. Lynch me because you know I will sniff out the foul stench of mafioso in our little game of cloak and dagger. And that makes you nervous. I can smell the stink of fear in mafia sweat a mile away, my friend. And something stinks to the high heavens.
You chose poorly, because I am onto you, MAFIA GUY!

Plus you voted for me when I was just being awesome and stuff. So there.

To clarify I have never been in favour of a quick hammer. If you go back and re-read my post I wanted quick voting to force people to defend themselves before the Mafia had a chance to formulate strategy.
As for your reveal I would hope that our doctor protects you tonight and you make it until morning. Maybe one of the factions of mafia trys to kill you anyway and we block the kill. Until our doctor has someone better to protect it makes sense to protect you.
The nice thing about your role claim is that it is easily tested when the town wants to kill someone extra down the line or when our cop discloses himself to kill scum we ask you to kill him and if you don't we lynch you. The other reason I believe you to be truthful is that it would be very poor strategy to roleclaim vigilante in a game with two mafia groups as the other mafia group would kill you.
So I believe you to be a townie and we should protect you until someone better to protect comes out.
Since ineedanother is likely a player is it more likely that the people who voted second and third for him are mafia?
That is streetpharm and Captain.
Or are the people who didn't vote more suspicious because they were just letting the town eat themselves. I Think the people who voted just before the reveal in the heard are more likely to be players than the other two groups.
