Got a chance to see the CBC report, thought it was funny at the end "another woman" when it's the same woman and the same dog.
Also funny when the blogger says "why can't people just say something about it and it ends there".. isn't that what's happened here? Nothing further than discussion has happened has it?

This idiot continues doing this, allowing her dog to piss and crap on other people's property - she doesn't care, and will act surprised when she discovers herself plastered on the web. Defend her all you want, she simply does not care. Her ignorance will eventually be exposed to her.
The graves are paid for by other people, she really has no right to even be there. The fact she is allowing her dog to do this is actually really bad. It doesn't have to be graves either - there is a small neighbourhood garden near my house that also shouldn't have dogs in it.
Good for her, she deserves the exposure.

They said a fair number of things in the video that they couldn't be bothered to check for accuracy. That piece was not exactly a beacon of quality journalism.

I watched a little of CBC news tonight, but missed the report. But holy hell, watching CBC news is like watching amateur hour. They're awful.

Agreed but so far I haven't seen enough of her. Need more pics of potential hot woman that takes her dog for walks in cemeteries. Personally I don't really care about the whole argument as I don't really feel the need to have a side for something this insignificant as walking her dog in a cemetery and picking up it's poop after. That's for you nerds to dissect and overanalyze. However I am intrigued by the possible hotness of this cemetery dwelling babe.

Same reason I don't walk ON graves if I'm in a cemetery. I don't care, but others likely do, so I don't out of respect to them (or at least that's the way it used to be, haven't been to a cemetery for a long time).
Again, as I said, my disapproval is provisional based on the assumed details of the story, if the actual details are different then my opinion will of course change. My disapproval isn't set in stone, and I wouldn't do anything about it without (in this case) more information.

This post made me think about cemeteries and respect for friends and family who have passed.
There is some genuine outrage (and some manufactured outrage as well) over the disrespectful nature of allowing a dog to 'do it's business' in a cemetery.
Those who are outraged, I'd like to ask you when the last time was you visited a dearly departed's gravesite? How regularly do you honour the deceased?
I ask because every Spring my wife and I visit Queens Park cemetery to visit the grave sites of my Mother and grand parents. We pick a nice afternoon and take a bucket, a spade and some cleaning supplies and clean their headstones of overgrown grass, dirt and grime. We 'tell them our news' as we go about this business and say good bye when we're done.
We can't help but notice the huge number of totally neglected sites where the grave markers are all but invisible because no one can be bothered to visit or to respect the final resting place of their friends or relatives.
I will save MY outrage for those people, who disrespect the memory of their family and friends through their neglect.
Of course this doesn't excuse the carelessness or poor judgement of the dog owner for taking a dog to the cemetery in the first place, but let's keep things in perspective folks.

My dad, a cousin, my uncle and a couple of my close friends were all cremated. Each and every day they are in my thoughts as I go about my business. With my dad we took his ashes to his favourite lake in BC and had them spread in his favourite fishing spot.
What you and your wife do is great and it's a shame other families don't do the same.

Judging this woman I deduce the following: she is incredibly selfish and lonely, lives in an Erlton condo, works in a downtown office, drinks wine by the bottle, and probably doesn't own a television. Damn I should be an FBI profiler.

How is it a shame, everyone alive will have people close to them die over the course of their lives, it is a natural component of life. I don't need to visit a grave in order to remember someone. The other component is that no matter how loved someone is, eventually with enough time that passes they will be forgotten to all. Do you go around and clean up the grave of your great-uncle?
Also does it bother you that animals evacuate their bowels in the lake that your dad's remains were scattered?

some perspective from someone who buried people at a cemetery for 3 years.
it's basically a park. and as far as desecration, cleaning up dog doo after it dumps is not desecration. deer eat flowers, it's an asian custom to leave food on grave sites, what do we think happens to that? if you guessed "it gets eaten by an inanimate dead body 5 feet underground?" you're correct. bottom line is, it's a place for people to come to terms with loss. it should be treated with a reverence unbefitting of dog ####.
little perspective from someone who hates dogs. that lady is not an evil person, she's just a kind of a son of a bitch. just more dog owners behaving badly.
the things that are wrong with this picture in order of importance.
1.she does it all the time
2.dog has no place in a cemetery at all
3.no leash
4.pooing

You seem to be misreading Dion's post. I think Dion is saying it is a shame more people don't take care of the area (cleaning, grooming etc).
Man, I can't believe how anal people are about this.
Show some bloody respect; to those past... and present.

The proper solution is to report it to bylaw who can come out and ticker her. Our society has decided that a $100 fine is the appropriate punishment a small portion would like to put her in the digital stockade and throw rotten fruit at her.
A few tickets would likely disuade her from doing it.

So you agree what she did was a bad thing, but the public shaming was not needed?

Yes, public shaming elimiates any possibility of defense or due process and creates punishments that don't fit the crime.
I dont think anyone here has said what she is doing is okay. Its that the response to it is over the top in comparison to the offense.

So we agree. Some in here have expressed the opinion that what she/dog did was no big deal, but that is not our opinion.

Big Brother isn't watching us. Big Brother is us.
"Neighbours spying/tattling on neighbours" for small offenses.... I fail to see how this will lead to social progress.

The thing for me is not necessarily the dog crap on a grave I guess, when I'm dead I won't care. The point that pisses me off is she is a disrespectful db.
Sometimes, when you are out in public, you have to think to yourself, is what I'm doing or about to do going to offend anyone? Should I fart in this packed elevator? I mean she has offended at least half the people in this thread. If you don't think of these things you are a self centered prick.
Letting your dog #### on people's graves in a place with no dogs allowed signs, more than once tells me she is a self centered prick who doesn't care about disrespecting others, unless she is just really stupid.
The other thing that pisses me off, as a responsible dog owner, is she is giving dog owners a bad rap
