So according to Hrudy, if the refs just skate around with the whistle in their mouth at all times, then they can disallow any goal...

Ok CBC, now show how he had the whistle in his mouth for 2 seconds prior to that...and that he took his time getting on top of the play.

He says "You can't push the goaltender into the net". that's why he called off the goal.

Oh, I agree in the end it was the right call on the play itself. But to hide behind the rule that was intended to accommodate for the lag of a ref intending to blow a play dead and the time it takes to actually physically accomplish this, in a situation where the ref had the damn whistle in his mouth for a solid 3 count, is ludicrous.

The oilers have taken some runs at Berra. The refs don't seem to call inference as often anymore
