I really enjoyed that game. When it was 6 on 5 I liked how all the boys hustled so Ramo only got the 1 goal against.

Really positive game. Young legs can keep up a nice forecheck, bad shifts didn't turn into bad periods like they sometimes have with the Flames. Loose and focused, rather than tight-assed.
But it's meaningless with regard to regular season of course. These games matter for internal competition mostly. I'm actually not sure that Monahan makes the team.

I know it is still pre-season, but the Flames already look way more organised than last year. Looks like everyone is buying into the game plan.
Had to look up a couple times who is sporting #21 - some excellent heads-up hockey by Horak.
Monahan does not look out of place at all.
