Beauty is only useful when there's someone to impress.
But I suppose, if they have good bodies and such, they probably have some athletic ability and shouldn't be complete disasters in challenges.

ya I doubt it's going to be 6 Cochran's on the brains side
they will probably just be doctors/lawyers etc. who can be in good shape

Unless the physical challenges are somewhat skewed to put stronger people at a disadvantage, as they were this season.

Are you referring to Monica winning so many challenges?

But here's how I see it... the puzzles, while requiring some brainpower, are not the Riemann hypothesis or P versus NP. By which I mean Survivor puzzles don't have the complexity to require one to be exceptionally smart to solve them. There is a point of diminishing returns on intelligence in puzzles that doesn't hold true on the physical side of things.
Survivor challanges have trended towards the puzzle piece retrievers and then the puzzle piece solvers and when it comes to solving puzzles the tribe is as good as it's best puzzle solver but can be destroyed by a terrible puzzle retriever.

But by western standards an athletic body is generally considered a aspect of beauty so I would expect them to have a physical advantage over the brains, I'll grant that Beauty is the least valuable of the traits in the long run... after a few weeks of no shampoo, no soap, no make-up, no razer, no toilet paper, and no sleep? no one qualifies as beautiful.
I realize that the Brains aren't likely to be Cochrane X 6 in terms of physicality but if they're going to be seperated by attributes I would not expect that the difference in physicality to be only slight. Plus I would also suspect that all the brains are all going to walk in and try to be schemers, a tribe full of schemers is going to shoot itself in the foot.

This is the survivor thread, you must be referring to a different reality TV show where this stuff applies.

I also disagree, Parvati among others have done a great job of looking sexy on day 39.

It's amazing how many of the people look worse at the reunion show than they did while competing on the regular show.

Actually i think if you follow this logic, you'll see that in physical challenges there is also a point of diminishing returns on that physicality, evidenced by challenges involving balance and stamina.

They can bring whoever they want back as long as I never have to see Rupert again. Three times is enough thank you.

Rupert has been on 4 times now.
It is just fun watching him play, imo.

Wow, you're right. I must have been mentally blocking one of those appearances. That must be the most appearances of any player. I know a bunch have been on 3 times.

More-so to people like Hayden losing challenges which, at first glance, would be suited to bigger and stronger people. I feel like any challenge where you're holding 25% of your body weight, etc. puts you at something of a disadvantage if you've got a relatively high amount of muscle on your frame.

Can't believe I actually picked the winner. Usually I'm one of the first out. Not just saying this, but Tyson did deserve to win. I thought all of Monica's crying might win her a few more votes, but thankfully the jury kept their heads on straight.
Overall, a very good season. The reunion show was a bit strange, I felt awkward for Kat when she was mumbling about her boob job. She definitely has some confidence issues. That's the last we should see from Colton, thank goodness. Hayden was a strong player, he should be back for sure.
Looking forward to the next season!

I judge the quality of the survivor season by how fast I want the next one to start. The better the season, the more quickly I want the next one on.
I'd be ok with the next season starting tomorrow.

I gotta say for a 40something Monica was absolutely smoking at the reunion. Wasn't a huge fan of hers from her last attempt, but she swayed me a bit this time around.
I still am holding out hope Boston Rob will come back even for an All-Stars appearance, but I guess even then they will likely be gunning for him right from the get go. Maybe another Amazing Race appearance would be in order knowing that?

The amount of work she has had done totally turns me off. She kind of reminded me of Skelator during the season. Looks like she had gained some weight though which was definitely needed.

Ya Monica you can tell was a hottie in her prime, the fake boobs don't hurt at all either. But the plastic surgery will took away from her looks over the years.. I still don't understand why women do that to themselves, I guess you get a few extra years of looking young in exchange for looking that bad 10-20 years down the road?
Either way she is still a cougar and I would take a round out of her.
I think a lot of people aren't giving her enough credit, hands down she was in the best shape out of anyone else this season. Hayden had beach muscles but wasn't athlete fit, Monica was athlete fit. All the Hot Yoga and Spin classes really paid off for her in those endurance challenges.

Monica and Laura (?) were both monsters in challenges, I did notice in a lot of ways that they did ease up on the challenges in the end, I don't know how pre-set these things are though.
I looked at Monica at the reunion show and it makes you realize how much weight these people do lose.
As for Boston Rob, I have my doubts that he will come back, there's no point, between himself and Amber they've made a ton of money in reality T.V. including a couple of million on survivor itself. I doubt that he'd take the chance of coming back knowing that he would be an early target.
I didn't know that he had a degree in psychology, that surprised me.
But I doubt you'd see him back unless he received a guarantee..
