There might be. I've had a lot of sims move out because there is no money in my city or places to shop. So they could be going to your city.
Yeah, I have no services to offer. I'm lacking in a lot of services for my own city. water, sanitation, power, police, fire etc so i'm sort of always in mini crisis mode. but we should chat and see if there is some way our two cities can help each other out.
I'll have a look at your city when I get home.

In terms of services, my city is doing just fine. Mind you, my city has 10 -13k people.
I have 4 wind power plants (two of them have extra turbines), 2 clinics, 3 police stations, two garbage disposals, a waste facility.
I have to work towards transportation, more buses and upgrading the roads for streetcars.
I'm not sure who are my neighbors...

Isn't it a lot more cost effective to have one wind turbine plant and just add on the turbines? I think that's a really expensive way you are doing it.

I've decided wind turbines just don't cut it. Dips in wind speeds can really mess you up when things get rolling.
Best bet is to build Coal plants, beeline to a University, and research Clean Coal asap.

I agree 100%. But by the time I noticed I could add more turbines, I just finished the 4th power plant
Does one power plant supply power to the whole city? With the appropriate upgrades of course.

Yes. As long as the output is greater than the cities demand. You don't need to have them sprinkled over various portions of the city.

Perfect! I'm extremely happy with my wind power plants. My city is very windy and I always have wind speeds between 19 - 23 mph.

One thing I've noticed is supposedly the city hall addons like Department of Safety and such are supposed to have regional unlocks for the things - such that one city can have a department of safety and one can have a department of education and both cities can build both things, but I didn't find that to be the case.
Also things like the great works and research projects - I can still research 10 of them, and I thought those were supposed to be region-wide as well (unless noone's tried to research in the morning wood region).
I feel like I'm under-exploring the region play aspect atm. Lots of potential for sure.

Definitely need a solid education base if you're considering Nuclear power. Thought I could get away with a single Grade School, and for the most part I did.
Now I have radiation, and just fought off a zombie outbreak. Luckily my police were well prepared for that.

So what's up with the morning wood region? I've held off building my city there as I wanted to get the hang of the game first and I also want sure if you guys were planning to start over.

just start building in morning wood. we need people to fill the plots. the game is hard if you have to go on your own because no one is developing the plots beside your city. We can restart the region later on.

i abandoned my city in Morning Wood. i'm almost bankrupt because of wildly fluctuating income, my city is overflowing with sewage and garbage (doesn't seem to matter how much i expand my treatment plant or garbage/recycling centers), and any changes i do make inevitably get erased because of the servers going down
i won't bother trying to do any actual region play again until the game is actually in a functioning state

So what plots are taken in Morning Wood? My game should be arriving onto my porch shortly. Not that I'll be able to connect...

This was accurate at one point, I think out of this list FanIn80 and Hemi Cuda have abandoned there plots, and keselke and Regorium have picked up plots as well.

Ok I started my city in Morning Wood. What possessed me to make the stupid curved roads right off the bat, I have no idea. Idiotic move. I don't have a lot of creativity.

Whoever wants to can add my Origin ID (Gramstyle) and if I can ever get back on NA West 1 server, I will send an invite to whoever wants one. I think Brannigan (AcrylicFever) is out as well, so 3 free spots in Morning Wood
