Weird, I've never had a problem with the wireless on my PS3. It is one of the newer ones though, I've only had it a little over 3 years. In fact it works better than my computer to wifi to printer set up. My printer is constantly falling off the server. Computer falls off the wifi occasionally too.

I don't think I've ever had an update work since I've had my PS3 (which has been since launch). I have to re-try every time. Not only that, but it crashes the rest of my network at the same time.

Wow, I could not have had the more opposite reaction. My PS3 (Slim, not the newest one) is the best wireless device in my house. It has never had connection issues, it downloads stupidly fast compared to my 360, and I could not be happier with it. In fact, I've recently run a CAT6 cable for our laptop because the wireless was too flaky on it, but not for any other devices.

You got the good ones, the limited edition models that actually play PS2 games. Wish I had gotten one of those at the time.

My 60gig original works on wifi, but the connection is night and day when I plug it in. It goes from good to great.

Yep, have a launch PS3 ($60 on Kijiji with a controller!) that plays PS2 but it's also hacked with CFW so it plays everything. Best device ever. Multiman now allows for storage of PSX games on the harddrive as well. Can't do PS2 ISO storage on the harddrive yet without a Cobra dongle.
But I've got a huge PSX library to go first and also have the complete rom collections for NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbo Grafx 16, Capcom Arcade, and Neo Geo on there. I'm enjoying PC Engine/TG16 CD games and Sega CD games that I never had the chance to play when I was a kid. You add in the Sega Saturn USB gamepad and this is the best console I've ever owned. Also my media player with Showtime and PS3 media server and also where I watch American Netflix because of the DNS trick. There's too much entertainment, it would take me 5 lifetimes to enjoy it all. Who needs a PS4?
And now...back to Super Hang-On on the PS3 with 3DTV support!
*on the WiFi topic, this launch PS3 doesn't like my WiFi and I do plug it in with CAT6. Makes a great Youtube player though as it defaults to 1080p and doesn't seem to be buggy and slow like Youtube on Chrome on my PC over WiFi.

They are starting to let people in for the PS4 event. They are anticipating it to last just under 2 hours. Very curious to see what they do for pricing - will it be 399 and put the screws to Microsoft?

It won't be $399. You saw it here first.
(Maybe it will be, but not the "regular" edition)

First?!
The delay of the starting this press event is probably because they are changing the last few slides to reduce their pricing!

Start with Vita, why?
All I want to see is what the damn PS4 looks like. Then I can go to dinner.

Wow. GT6 looks like a PS4 game and not a PS3 game.

People get excited over videos instead of gameplay? This is BS so far.
